Yeah but what is future war cult building with out any organization or flow of resources? What is FWC going to do with all those war machines without an army, or a decision making body that decides when and how to use them? FWC is planning for a war without the means to actually wage war. And if Lakshmi is the FWC leader, are they basically doing what NM wants to do anyway, or is she just planning on being a dictator? I'm not saying FWC is not doing the right thing by preparing for battle, I'm just saying that they are skipping some steps.

  • Well, 'wage' war I don't think would be the right term, even if that's what they want. Preparing for a retaliation would be better. We know we're going to get hit again, and hit hard. I believe they're preparing for that day. Future War Cult, I imagine, would be more like a military sect. They don't want to rule over the city but they want to be the acting military arm of the city mostly in terms of mortals and non guardians. I imagine that a whole lot of people actually want to fight the Darkness too. And that Lakshmi would be an enabler to allow for other future soldiers to help get a fighting role in the plan. Every military has a general. I'd imagine Lakshmi would be that rather than dictator. And, I mean... I wouldn't exactly want a Monarch like New Monarchy clearly wants. New Monarchy really wants to challenge leadership, not forge necessarily a proper leadership, which is subjective to whatever you think is best. That's the difference. I don't believe we have the time to squabble over something like that yet, or that we have the size to where that would be necessary. Once we push the Darkness back, and back to where we can start expanding, then we can worry about how to organize an ever growing society. The risk at further division is exactly what we don't need right now. Obviously Future War Cult can't do it alone. Resources and the like. Dead Orbit has contributed ships from time to time and New Monarchy is often a political arm of ease to the people. But Future War Cult wants to lead the charge, and the forces, when the time comes. A lot of hard decisions will probably have to be made in that war. They are ready to steel themselves against whatever they might face.
