I don't remember the actual first Sonic game I played, but the one that really got me into it was Sonic Heroes & Shadow the Hedgehog. To this date, the only 3D main series Sonic games I've missed (far as I know) are Lost World & technically Colors. (I have the latter, but never got around to playing it. However, while Sonic is the series I've played the longest consistantly, I have played a Kirby game before I played Sonic (Kirby 64) and have also played one more recently (Planet: Robobot), but I don't play it near as much.
