"So, you were bored and this led you to kill someone. Got it." [b]Fortis said to Rook. He then turned to the mercenaries.[/b]
"I don't trust that you will do that. After all, you just shot the man."

"In all fairness the only people I killed were gun dealers." [b][i]"Listen, we're not going to kill him. We just want to make sure he pays for his crimes."[/i][/b] [b]A voice can be heard on one of the mercenaries comm channels out loud.[/b] [b][u]"Hey, have you captured Rook yet? I didn't hire you to waste time!"[/u][/b] [b]He quickly scrambles to turn off the comms.[/b]

"Well, why did you kill the gun dealers Rook?"

"He got pissed off at me for failing to deliver a stash of weapons. I drew first and shot him."

"Well, that sounds like it was in self defense. Is he being charged with manslaughter?" [b]Fortis asked the mercenaries.[/b]

[u][i]"Life in prison or the death sentance, depending on what the judge decides."[/i][/u]

"Well, is there any way he could be granted a pardon?"

"Fortis, they're not here for justice, they're only here to kill me and collect a paycheck. Please, help me, I can help you in return." [b]One of the mercenaries aims his rifle at Rook's head. Ready to silence him.[/b]

"Well, your offer seems very tempting, but..." [b]Fortis slams the ground and send the three tumbling backward. He then orders his soldiers to open fire.[/b]

[b]The three quickly get up. They deploy a sheild to block the gunfire. Rook gets up and runs to cover.[/b] [b][i]"We hot reinforcements?"[/i][/b] [i][u]"No sir."[/u][/i] [b][i]"Fight till the end."[/i][/b] [b]They prepare to drop the sheild, since their armor is able to block multiple rounds of ammo.[/b]

[b]Fortis ran to a nearby tank and fired at the shield.[/b]

[b]The sheild absobed the damage but was destroyed in the process. All three jump and hover in the air while firing at everything down below.[/b]

[b]A few of the soldiers fell to the ground, lifeless. Ten elite riot control soldiers equipped with shield and chain guns stepped up, unloading on the three mercenaries. Fortis had locked the tanks missiles onto the three, and was about to fire.[/b]

[i][u]"Sir, detecting a lock-on device![/u][/i] [b][i]"Deploy smokescreen."[/i][/b] [b]Nothing happens.[/b] [i][u]"Something's jamming it!"[/u][/i] [b]Rook stands up, firing a powerful electronic blast at one of the mercenaries, easily taking him out.[/b]

[b]Audax bursts out of no where and slams one of the guys into a building with his war hammer.[/b]

[b]The other mercenarie aims his rifle at Rook as a last attempt to kill him[/b]

[b]Audax kicks him into a different building[/b]

[b]He barely is able to take the shot, Rook is hit in chest and falls to the ground.[/b]

[b]Audax jumps on top of the man and caves his head in with his hammer. Fortis rushes to Rook and pulls out some medical kit.[/b]

[b]Rook is knocked unconscious but still alive. [/b]

[b]Fortis shoves a strange metal device in the bullet hole. It mends to the damaged tissue and acts as a replacement.[/b]

[b]Rook wakes up, not knowing what happened.[/b] "Wait, where the -blam!- am I?"

"You are on an alien planet. Some mercenaries tried to kill you."

"Oh those assholes?" [b]Rook attempts to stand up, barely able to keep his balance.[/b]

"You know them?"

"Of course I know them, they used to gun-run, until they became mercenaries and turned their backs on me."
