I just played kings fall for the first time, absolutely loved it. It was super challenging especially sisters. And it's gear is also incredibly Badass looking. So why does a large majority of the community dislike it so much?

I moved right after Kings Fall was current. The only Internet I could get in that area was not raid worthy. By time I moved and got descent Internet it was past its prime. I would still like to beat it one day for the achievement. But from what I've heard and read I'm didn't miss out on much more than a stress induced headache.

I like it. Every raid is good.

They think there's too many mechanics. Personally I love kings fall. The weapons overall are decent (there is also the anguish of drystan auto, but it's so bad it can't be considered a weapon), I think the cocoon perk is one of the best perks in the game. I still frequently use the heavy's and the sniper, both in pve (including the current raid) and pvp. I think the armor is great. The ship is the best raid ship, ascendent plane shader is in my top 10. Crota's end strike is kinda annoying. I hate the vault of glass armor, though I main/only care about my titan, so maybe the warlock/hunter armor is better. Wrath of the machine is only alright because of the siege engine part, otherwise I think the raid is good. The weapons are reskins w/unique perks. I only like the auto, and kinda the scout and sniper. Better raid exotic than kings fall. Armor is plain. I know when a raid is based off a machine, there isn't much they could do creatively, but the previous raid armor all had character. But this is all just my opinion. I'm only doing the VoG and Crota for the weapons and titan armor, just to have.

no. this raid was too long, too mechanic based, the armor and weapons have nothing redeeming about them, and lastly its on the dreadnaught. kings fall is sooooo bad lmao.
-
I only beat oryx once because the mechanics got a bit overwhelming over time.
-
I had a lot of fun in KF. It was as fun as VoG for me.
-
I like each of the Raids for a different reason. I like King's Fall because it has some of the most difficult mechanics currently in Destiny.
-
It's alright. The only issue with it is when it was the raid we had to grind it was a ball ache to do over and over and got tedious awfully fast if people kept messing up, because of how mechanic based it is.
-
Most raiders find that it relies too much on mechanism less so on player skills. I like and enjoy it, my first raid in destiny. Still love it though I do wrath more bcoz lesser people are doing kf nowadays
-
When it dropped the rewards were horrible.
-
I think most people dislike it because all raids will be compared to the first and best raid, Vault of Glass. That one really set a standard that will be hard to break
-
Its OK, I loved oryx, but WoTm is my first love raid.
-
Love it for the nostalgia as it was my first raid... shout out to the champs who patiently took the 2 noobs (at the time, occasionally still) through it first!!!
-
Hated it at first because it all seemed overly complicated.... ...actually don't mind it now I know how it works.

Kings Fall had the most demanding mechanics from any raid. If one person fails in their roll one time it's a wipe in most encounters with most parties. When ran over and over the mechanics became very stale and dried. The most fun part of the raid was watching peeps get launched in the penis puzzle. The gear was mostly good as infusion fuel adds far as weapons go. With the exception of the HMG (and maybe the sniper) every weapon is outclassed by the vast majority of vendor weapons you can get from the Gunsmith. Imho Kings Fall was challenging but failed to properly reward players for the difficulty. It was fun, the first few times, and that is what I choose to remember best about it

Love it. I really enjoyed King's Fall during the Taken King. Haven't completed it since Rise of Iron dropped but I did at least get up to Oryx. My favourite encounters are the Totems and Warpriest when done smoothly and quickly. It's a very mechanic-heavy raid. The other raids have fewer mechanics. KF was my favourite raid but after a number of completions of WotM it has quickly become my new favourite raid. Don't really care about Crota. Vault of a Glass is certainly fun. Very close in the list of favourites, to King's Fall. 1. Wrath of the Machine 2. King's Fall 3. Vault of Glass 4. Crota's End

Second best raid, least rewarding. VoG will always be the best.
-
Alot of people dudnt like KF for alot of different reasons. Mostly because if you screwed up on certain fights it was a wipe. Sone of those encounters are the encounter before war priest, sisters and oryx if you died on a platform, oryx if you didnt get your ogre killed quickly enough and or the right spot, nit getti g your knight killed, lag/ogre teleportation (thats not a joke) and just having to sit around.
-
Weapons look like fish skeletons Armor makes me look like tard alien Bad perks Bad stats
-
It's the fact that if one guardian dies on oryx you're all but -blam!-ed. Every other raid, a good team can cover for one or two (wo)men down. The penalty for a fireteam death on oryx hard mode is almost always a wipe. Some of the most fun I've had is having to step up and clutch it four or five man. With oryx it's not really an option.
-
The raid itself was excellent but the guns aren't really that great. This was also the first raid where completing hard mode didn't give elemental primary weapons so that might be part of it as well.
-
I like it too 👍🏻
-
I loved it I could hold aura, gaze, and be the runner. Its the only time I ever felt cool and special ;-;
I am one with the force. The force is with me
-
I like the Raid itself. Armor is cool looking, especially the warlock armor. The weapons are all garbage except Quillims.
-
I need that sniper back from that raid that shit wasn't to bad in pvp.
-
So many glitches. Much to complicated and to much trouble to teach it to someone. No reason to do it more than once or twice. Just not fun. Repetitive.
