I just played kings fall for the first time, absolutely loved it. It was super challenging especially sisters. And it's gear is also incredibly Badass looking. So why does a large majority of the community dislike it so much?

The guns were garbage
-
It starts out as a lot of fun but it gets pretty boring based off the formulaic nature of it.

Great raid. It introduced challenges which were genius ideas. Worst part? No incentive. The weapons were trash
-
It's fun, and has good mechanics. It's just a little too unforgiving.
-
I enjoyed it well enough on regular mode. Hard mode... we did it, but it was painful. Still, it made us a better raid team.
-
I personally loved this raid. However, the unforgiving nature of it and the fact that it's all we had for a year equaled a total loss of my close friends. They all went to other games and I can't get them back.
-
I don't mind it because sometimes I actually get to run relic with my warlock and people are all "omfg how is that warlock doing that".

Edited by WulfPak666: 1/18/2017 7:16:12 PMKings Fall is alright. It is fun and challenging at times. Most of the time for me it is tedious and boring. Just about all the encounters boil down to "Just stand right here and shoot this" It doesn't have any moments where shit is going down and you gotta keep moving. Like the confluxes in VoG, the Thrall maze in CE or even all of WoTM. It is also one of those raids where just one little slip equals a wipe, even if it is something stupid. Oh, you didn't capture Golgoroths gaze fast enough? You didn't step on the right platform? You took to long to get the relic? You missed a jump? Not to mention Oryx has like the biggest Fail state out of any raid boss in this game. Oh, you got him down to a quarter of health.. oh no, jumper missed the platform. Can't do anything about it. Gotta wipe. Let us also not forget dying instantly when the shade teleports you into the bubble... If the person who dies happened to be one of your platform holders or runners, your pretty much screwed. Unlike with VoG, CE or WoTM, you can afford to lose some people and your team can still compete the task. In Kings Fall, you pretty much need to run as if you're going for flawless raider because it is so mechanical dependant. Despite all this, I don't hate KF. But I'd rather run the other 3 raids before doing KF again. It just seems like KF is the least noob friendly out of the 4 raids. You pretty much need "gods" to beat it. LFG was pure hell on Kings fall. Worst times in LFG I've ever had outside of Aksis Challenge mode. Not to mention the weapons kind of sucked too, except Yasmin and Terminus, those are ballin'. They looked badass and sounded amazing, but Hung Jury was perfect, better than all the primaries in KF and you could buy it day 1 :/

Waist of my heavy ammo that's for sure for this raid. Lmao. Hated this raid with a passion. Wipe, pop a synth, wipe, wait for a synth. My heavy ammo is well worth the spent in doing Vault, Crotas and Wrath.
-
I personally found the mechanic heaviness of it to be a refreshing change of pace, for the most part it wasn't your gear that was the problem your own stupidity.
-
Way too mechanic heavy. Way too unforgiving for even a tiny mistake, especially at Oryx. Lots of old day 1 players I used to play with quit after the first time they tried Kings Fall lol.
-
It's ridiculously long considering you only have 4 bosses, you could 30 minutes just running and doing jump puzzles. So it's just really boring.
-
Sometimes I hated it, but when you see Oryx floating off into the void of space, holy crap is that a good feeling! Awesome raid! You really had to focus and be organized or you were toast!

Edited by Blankman007: 1/18/2017 5:11:29 PMIts disliked for a variety of reasons: The weapons are the worst group of raid weapons in the game. The raid exotic is the worst raid exotic in the game, given that its situational and only useful at 2 points within the raid. At the time it came out, it was the only relevant raid, and it took forever to level up given the old infusion system. So people ran it a lot and got very sick of it. Challenging is good for a while, but it just becomes punishing when its the only thing to run to elevate your gear score at a snails pace. A little too based on mechanics. Some mechanics is good, but dying on the last cycle because someone jumped a little to early is a little much. Also it was pretty glitchy. Dying from the sword through the ground when you aren't in the bubble is pretty ridiculous, teleporting ogres, dying smack dab in the middle of the protection bubble for no reason, etc.

Love the raid, hate the gear
-
Best raid by far!
-
First raid I played. Absolutely hated it. Hate wrath too. Only like the year one raids lol.
-
I dislike King's Fall because I find the mechanics to be tedious and boring. For me, the high point of the whole thing is Totems; everyone needs to know the mechanics and participate, and the gunplay is constant. Too much 'stand around, then shoot, rinse and repeat' after that. No joke, there was one occasion where I was starting to nod off during the Oryx fight. That shit is boring for everyone that isn't running relic.

Sisters when Kings Fall was the current raid was a total pain, almost impossible with groups of randoms. Many groups would disintegrate at that point on Normal, and on Hard you could be there for hours, hoping eventually RNG chose two competent, fast jumpers who could get round because even with that you would only just have time to kill them both before being annihilated. And defeating Oryx on Hard took people many many hours of repeated wipes from just one mistake each cycle... Both of these encounters were too unforgiving of a single mistake. So Kings Fall was a raid of continual wipes and start the cycle again. Now it is very easy with the massive light level advantages. I used to hate it but was determined to defeat it and did it on Hard, all 3 chars all challenges and every fragment for MoT Y2.. Now it is the raid I have played the most, and I probably prefer it to WoTM and miss the challenge!
-
Love it, like wrath of the machine better, just wish it was longer
-
Garbage
-
It's poop
-
To mechanically focused with no sense of progression in my opinion
-
Worst raid yet.
-
Really sexy gear. It's just no one knows how to beat effing golgorath, and I always got jiffed with class items whenever I could find a team with more than half a brain between the 5 of them.
