Oryx is the best raid boss fight. The fight was already hard. If he did what you suggest he should have done, it would have been harder. It's a video game and we have to beat the bad guys. Of course an enemy god won't show those kind of powers. We would never win. At least he wasn't just a bigger version of one of his minions that was just shooting at you, like atheon was.
