Kings Fall is alright.
It is fun and challenging at times.
Most of the time for me it is tedious and boring. Just about all the encounters boil down to
"Just stand right here and shoot this"
It doesn't have any moments where shit is going down and you gotta keep moving. Like the confluxes in VoG, the Thrall maze in CE or even all of WoTM.
It is also one of those raids where just one little slip equals a wipe, even if it is something stupid.
Oh, you didn't capture Golgoroths gaze fast enough?
You didn't step on the right platform?
You took to long to get the relic?
You missed a jump?
Not to mention Oryx has like the biggest Fail state out of any raid boss in this game.
Oh, you got him down to a quarter of health.. oh no, jumper missed the platform. Can't do anything about it. Gotta wipe.
Let us also not forget dying instantly when the shade teleports you into the bubble...
If the person who dies happened to be one of your platform holders or runners, your pretty much screwed.
Unlike with VoG, CE or WoTM, you can afford to lose some people and your team can still compete the task. In Kings Fall, you pretty much need to run as if you're going for flawless raider because it is so mechanical dependant.
Despite all this, I don't hate KF. But I'd rather run the other 3 raids before doing KF again.
It just seems like KF is the least noob friendly out of the 4 raids. You pretty much need "gods" to beat it. LFG was pure hell on Kings fall. Worst times in LFG I've ever had outside of Aksis Challenge mode.
Not to mention the weapons kind of sucked too, except Yasmin and Terminus, those are ballin'. They looked badass and sounded amazing, but Hung Jury was perfect, better than all the primaries in KF and you could buy it day 1 :/
