The wind traveled out of a place that never was and always was, and danced through a place that was and never was, dancing across the mountaintops and along the rolling valleys. Mist traveled with it, over grassy hill and knoll, now it came to a tower peak and down the slope it rolled. From the mist there stepped a man, as old as Avalon, but there was no life within his skin, it's soul is dead and gone. Clad in simple hunters garb but with aristocratic pride, the old feet stepped and pale arm stretched and door slid open wide. Siloetted in the moonlight, with wild ivory hair, with eyes as red as burning dawn and fangs in a smile bared. The archer of another age, with a slaughted people's skin, he bows to you with a "good evening" and asks "may I come in?"
You gotta knock on the gates, not open them. Just so you know for future reference
Kross did a slight bow back ay the "It's a pleasure to meet you."
-
"Likewise, may I enter?"
He can't enter without permission
-
Technically, he shouldn't even be able the doors without permission
"All are permitted within these walls."
-
Technically, but it made for proses
"My thanks." He steps over the threshold
-
"There is no need to thank me. I am but a simple member. Like yourself, now."
-
"Hm. I see."
-
"I am Kross, Lord of Cinder. And I welcome you to the Dojo."
-
"A pleasure to have arrived, kindling."
-
"What do they call you?"
-
"Vechi, or simply archer."
-
"Well, Simply Archer. I hope you enjoy your time here. However, you may not enter combat with others until you have passed the test."
-
"Then administer it, gatekeeper."
-
"It is a so be it." He took a few steps back and drew a sword that was lit with fire. He held it out with his right hand and placed his left hand over his chest, onto his right shoulder "As per Legion Etiquette, you make the first move."
-
He draws his bow and strings a dozen arrows at once, pulls back, and fires into the heavens, from which they rain down all around the combatants
-
Kross dashed forwards, slashing at Simply Arrow's bow
-
Upon closer inspection, the entire bow seems to be made of some kind of metal. He drew another arrow casually, but with a vipers speed. At the moment your sword hit his bow, he loosed it into you at point blank range. As for the bow, it held and did not shatter under the blow
-
In a movement, faster then what should be possible for humans, he cocked his head to the side, the armor scratching against his cheek. With his blade against your bow, he pushed forwards, slamming the tip of the blade to your throat, where he stopped "A bow and arrow? Is that you have?"
-
"Hardly. For example, I have a smoke bomb in my heel." He stomps down and the area is covered in thick mist. His weight vanishes from your blade, and he laughs from in the mist.
-
"Why? The battle has ended."
-
"And what makes you say that?"
-
"The blade I pressed against your throat. I could have killed you. I did not. I shall give thee permission to battle."
-
"I'm afraid to tell you...." The man walks out of the mist, holding his severed head in his hand. "That slashing my throat open won't kill me."
-
Kross looked at the severed head, shocked to say the least "What in Gwyn's name?"
-
"I'm a vampire. The only way to kill me is to destroy my brain or heart." The head is speaking, despite being detatched from its neck and vocal chords. Vechi sticks his head back on and it roughly heals. "Or if you were to blast off my second skin in sunlight."
-
"Thanks for the tip."
You should put this as one of the Abilities "Can't die through traditional means"
