The man sits gets himself upright in his chair. It begins to become apparent that his hands were not quite human underneath the gloves.
"Well, so what brings you randomly materializing in my castle? Usually the only one doing that is me"

I'm s-sorry sir, I was just sleeping and...ended up here?
-
"And I woke up and I ended up here, again. I tend to wake up here a lot since I ended up falling asleep here" He chuckles a bit at his own comment and stands up from his throne. It becomes noticeable that his throne had a torn dress lying one it that looks to be at one point something very regal and covered with heart patterns. "It's usually tradition for the guest to introduce themselves but this isn't a particularly traditional castle. I'm Chesh, the king of hearts."
-
Well...nice to meet you Chesh, I'm Virion.
-
Chesh signals to the Knights they are free to go and they get up and return to patrolling the castle. He sighs seeming a bit frustrated. "Sure they are loyal but too uptight. I get that their last ruler was a tyrant that beheaded a number of them but they can at least try to relax. Sorry, I tend to think out loud. Anyways I don't recall seeing you before in my Wonderland."
-
Welp, you'd be correct.
-
"Ah well if you'd like a tour I wouldn't mind. I'll just have to sneak past the guards Which never was a problem before."
-
I think a tour would be a good idea *he seems a lot more relaxed than before*
-
"Alright then" He the walks over and with a simple pat on the shoulder they suddenly find themselves in a strange village seeming to have a playing card theme in a dim light. Strange lanterns seem to turn and look as if alive while Chesh looks around at his kingdom. "No guards here right?" The lanterns shakes their head no and Chesh smiles.
-
...for a king, why do you worry about your own guards?
-
"Well... they tend to be a bit... overprotective and then there's all the kingly duties I'm always behind on. I'm a bit lazy for royalty"
-
*he snickers a little* I can understand that. I would hate to give up my time to be a king.
-
"Yeah before this I would just wander aimlessly annoying travelers with riddles an puzzles. Occasionally I sneak out and do it all over again. The chess pieces are still trying to solve one of them" He pulls out a pawn that he kept as a souvenir from his visits. He smirks as he thinks of the mishaps he caused. "Pfft, and they keep going on about being clever only to be outwit by a cat"
-
Wow, so what happened when you became king?
-
"They wanted someone who knew a little about Wonderland to lead and I happen to be in the right place at the wrong time. I took the throne and at least things got less violent. As for the madness well, it's Wonderland. If it wasn't a bit strange it just wouldn't be the same"
-
Heh, guess you're right. What's anything without its quirks, right?
-
"Now I wonder where old hats ran off to..." As he said that a guard spots then as he walks down the road looking agrivated. The lights suddenly stiffen up. Chesh sighs and pulls out a packet of cards. "Oh well. Next time I guess I'll sneak into the woods. Wait, this should be interesting." He then hands over the packet of cards and vanishes. Within a few moments later the world seems to fade back out into the real world. The only indicator that anything actually happened was a pack of playing cards that Chesh given to the person. On the back of the deck is written "places to visit: Here"
