The figure was definitely moving, and moving quickly seemingly in Merrick's direction

Although he didn't seem to realize that Royal was within the shadows, Merrick was still cautious about anyone who might be coming to kill him. "Reminder to never jinx myself." He mumbled, pointing the M9 toward all the entrances to the alleyway.
-
There was a light ruckus, the sound of footsteps before utter silence. Then there was a voice behind him "Paranoid Much?"
-
He immediately pulled out his dagger, about to point it in the figure's way, only for it to stop near the figure's face. "Well, when you do something like that, you could say people get a little paranoid." He responds, mumbling something about "heroes" and "bloody surprising." He backs away from the figure. "So what do you want do to me? A great hero of the Dojo, murdering a person who does what he thinks is best for the people? Or is it something else, huh?" He responds, a hint of anger in his gruff voice.
-
"Why don't you calm down first off?" The man stepped out of the shadows, his face becoming much more apparent now His green eyes locked onto Merrick's and a scar sat upon his left cheek. The man himself seemed young, but was decent looking
-
"Well...if it isn't lady-looked number 176. Look, kid, I AM calm. If I wasn't, I could've killed you on the spot. Never mind that, though. Why did you find me?" He had asked, twirling his dagger around in a non-threatening away, a strange purple glow from the dagger glowing the area around him.
-
"I believe I owe you a thank you in some sense." He leaned against the alley wall, shifting his gaze onto Merrick's armor "As head of the dojo Guard, you've done me a service my eliminating those robbers."
-
"Yeah, well, I have nothing else better to do. Mostly have to sometimes do the stuff other people wouldn't." Merrick had said, before noticing that the Dojo guard was looking at his outfit. "Trust me, it's nothing like that fancy armor I'd seen some people wearing." He had on a simple Victorian-Era like jacket with a black shirt underneath, black combat pants and boots. He also had some sort of mask with a smile plastered on it, along with a paperboy hat.
-
"What's with the mask? V for Vendetta your hero?"
-
"Nah; personally, if people knew who saved the innocent child across the streets, they could have contacts that'll try to kill me. Not taking a risk like that..." he responds, placing his weapons away. "So what do you really want from me? Repayment? Recruitment?" He had asked.
-
"Recruitment in a sense. There's a place, not far from here by the name of The Dojo"
-
"I'm aware of that. Are you really sure you want a person such as me up with all those fancy twats? I mean, you've got people who massacred hundreds of people, and complete psychopaths. I know, because galactic news dosen't exactly travel very slow." He reacts.
-
The man snickered "And how do you know so much of this place?"
-
Edited by A Stormy Dio: 1/24/2017 5:01:17 PM"Let's say this; info can be bought for a certain price...and at times, a bit of persuasion. Plus, one of the those psychopaths had been on galactic news across the Outer Rim for the past, what, couple months?" Merrick had replied, smirking under his mask. "So, you really think I can be up there? Sure. Long as innocents don't end up dead and gasping for air on the streets."
-
"Do you remember the name of this wanted person by any chance?"
-
No. It was a woman; that's all I knew. Lot of naïve idiots thought she was on Demeter, one of last colony worlds near the Sol system....there's a reason you don't see people trying to kill or find her these days. So, where do you want me to be?" Merrick explained.
-
"Come along then." Royal started towards the Dojo "I want you to kill someone. What would the price be?"
-
"Depends on the target." He says, walking with him.
-
"A boy by the name of Alpha..."
-
"Wait...you want me to murder a little kid? What the hell did he do for you to want me to kill an innocent child?" He yelled towards the man, the hint of anger returning.
-
"He's not so little... He's fifteen. And he helped murder one of my friends
-
Merrick had stayed silent for a bit, thinking about it. Sure, this would be very helpful to the people...to help stop anyone else from being killed. But... He cleared those thoughts off his mind as he looked up the figure. "Tell me where he is."
-
"That's the problem. I don't know. He's on the planet, I just don't know where."
-
"Well, maybe I could use some old contacts back from Shira XV..." you could hear Merrick mumble, before turning to him. "Yeah, I could try to see if some old buddies of mine can come over and find him. By the way, I never caught your name; I'd want to know who's going to so call "hire" me." He had responded, opening his wrist scanner and punched in some buttons.
-
"Royal. Roy for short if you want
."
-
"Royal, eh? So...I guess I'll check out who else is part of this society, and then I'll buzz out to get my contacts. I knew a few guys who can track anyone down...at least I think. You should come; I don't think there are many people here who'd seen the entire galaxy. At least, the bad parts of it." He responds. "Hell, bring a few friends. My ship has enough room for a few of you guys."
