Why a Cabal invasion could bring a Hive god
In the mission, Outbound Signal, we learn that the Cabal Emperor knows that there are no more high-ranking Cabal officials in our system. The most prominent guess for Destiny 2 is that the Cabal will invade our system. This would mean war.
If you have read the Book of Sorrows, you should know that the three Hive gods (Oryx, Savathûn, Xivu Arath) all created Throne Worlds, which are "guarded" by courts (as seen in the Court of Oryx). It says in the Book of Sorrows that Xivu Arath's court is wherever there is war.
Now, here is where the speculation begins. If the Cabal invade our system, could they bring a big enough war to where Xivu Arath's court, and Xivu Arath show up (maybe as a dlc)? Anyway, leave your thoughts below!

4 RepliesInteresting notion... the connection is there. If the Cabal come around in force for Destiny 2, I think we're looking brand new aspects to the game. By this I mean Cabal infantry battles are pretty static in makeup. Shield guys, bullet sponges, some flayers sprinkled here and there. The engagements aren't terribly... well, engaging. You can get up close with a shottie or fusion but really Cabal are made for sniping. But they tease at big tanks and planet-crushing space capabilities.... Could this be an opening for enhanced vehicle combat? Tank battles? Space battles? Yes, please. Or could we be looking at some changes to how CQB behaves? Either way, I hope a Cabal focus will bring about some interesting additions to the game. A new/refreshed Hive presence would be nice, too!
