Ugh... the opening line could be anything...
It'll probably be another quote from the jungle book, and more classic rock.
There will be better graffix, 60fps?, a couple of live action trailers. That stuff is cool, but I don't really care about the hype because I just don't belive it anymore. What I want to know is weather or not for another 80 bucks (canadian) is if they are actually going to deliver on an interesting in game story and PvE experience?
Silence and playing coy are a bad sign. If they had something to talk about, they'd be talking about it. We are less than a year away. They won't even talk about what's coming up next month beyond "we have something in store". Give me a reason to be excited and to come back.
I'd love to say I am optimistic but that would be a lie. Loads of people will love D2, but I'm going to wait a couple of months to hear what people are saying about it. Not people who are payed to review games, but actual people I know who's taste in games are similar to mine.
I'm not shelling out another penny for this game until its story has a pulse. I want them to take the time to explain, but the days of my buying Bungie products in good faith are gone. The proof is in the pudding. If they want my money they need to earn it.

Edited by FromNowOn: 1/26/2017 8:47:25 AMu mad bro?

Soooooo mad. It's an all consuming hate that controls my life. My first thought when I wake up in the morning is "RAAAAWWWWR! I'm so mad right now". When I go to bed I glare at my Destiny pillow and think "I hope I drool all over the Traveller tonight". When I eat lunch I pretend it's Destiny so that I can turn it into poo and flush it down the toilet. So mad.

Yea its like if they have loads to show and hype up they would have started showing things but even now they r silent which means either they have barely anything or they are still trying to finish the game
-
You must be new here. Bungie doesn't reveal their next Destiny product until a few months before it's released.
-
Totally new. Only been playing Destiny for a month. Immagine if on June 11th 2013 Harold Ryan had done a Game Informer interview about Destiny 15 whole months before Destiny launched and discussed the things that had already been announced. But that's just crazy talk. Bungie only starts to hype things a couple of months prior to launch. Tee hee, silly me, but I'm just a noob.
-
& how well did that PR nightmare turn out for them? Now that it's an established IP, they wait until things are set in stone before saying anything.
-
Poorly because shortly after they started talking they had to trash the story and start over. I'm pretty sure the hype machine for their halo games went on longer than 3 months before each release. Their marketing team has probably changed a few times, so the strategy is probably different now.
-
Yea Harold Ryan was fired a year after Destiny was released lol that's why I said you must be new here. I wasn't trying to be condescending. I just thought you didn't keep up with the hype train.
-
Whatever happens I hope the change is for the better.
-
I bet it's December 2018. Honestly.
-
"less than a year away" Oh boy are you in for a surprise!
-
I mean if I had to guess i would bet on a release in December
-
I'm mostly just being salty, but I don't imagine we will see anything until at lest 2018 unless there is some sort of huge announcement in the next month or so. But then again what do I know, I figure getting people hyped for D2 would get people who left back playing and excited again, or maybe they worry about losing potential RoI sales but I think we are at the point that anyone who wants RoI has it.

I agree 100%
