First of all, the lack of countdown seems a bit unimportant to warrant any "punishment". It honestly doesn't seem like an issue to me. Second of all, I assume the chat/comments were filled with cancer directed at him. If that's the case I wouldn't blame him for calling out people complaining about something so frivolous and unimportant and flaming him for it.
