Technically Ghosts really aren't immortal. Just shoot 'em. It's happened in the lore.

Meh, not really. The only Guardian weapon that is supposedly capable of killing other Guardians is Red Death. As for killing a Ghost? They have to be in a Darkness Zone - or an area where their Light is drained. If their Guardian dies, they're done for.

Ghosts can be shot, though. When they pop up, they're just as vulnerable as anything else. But idk, haven't played in ages.
