Stalemate. The invasion forces couldn't press forward anymore. The skies were gone, the ground a bloody graveyard. The stars were forboding, given the number of Dojo ships present and the orbital defenses active.
It was a small patch of quiet in the chaos.........until today.
Above the Dojo, ten dropships, similar in construction to Osprey VTOLs, uncloaked. They had used the earlier battle to slip in unnoticed, and their back hatches opened up dropping men and women who shimmered and disappeared.
After about 200 or so of them had disappeared.........shit hit the fan. Men and Women with varying levels of integration with machinery, and gear using mostly hardlight appeared in the Dojo. They opened fire on whatever they saw, causing chaos where ever they went, easily worth many guards each.

In orbit, the sensors detected a large force approaching, and then 57 slipspace ruptures appeared. Soon, huge ships bearing the emblem of a chess rook arrived. many were small to middling, but some were also much larger than any of the Dojo ships present.
The stars were soon blotted out as the invading fleet engaged the Orbital fleets and defenses. The ships were outnumbered, but not outgunned. They bristled with weapons, and there seemed to be a capital ship with a large dish-like weapon mounted into the front of it.
Starfighters, bombers, gunships, and boarding craft all exited the vessel. The stars were soon alight woth cannon fire, plasma, and the occasional burst of hardlight.
For anyone in the Dojo itself, the first part is for you.
The Space fight is for Royal
