"Haven't you been listening? We can't do jack against what he's got. Not yet anyways. We're here to HIRE not take his merc's."

"I say we take em. Much simpler than trusting him."
-
"How about you be quiet and get paid before your dumbass gets yourself AND me killed?" He said frustratingly. "We go with my plan. That's final. We're almost there now." The car drove around a mountain and down a road to a large icy clearing. In this clearing was a large town. It had two walls, both forming a circle around the three dozen homes that were in the place. The walls branched up onto the side of a nearby mountain and onto a large plateau where a large castle was built with a ginormous tower on its side.

"So.... How's the weather?" Royal tried lightening the mood, but it fell short and cast an awkwardness
-
"Cold." He replied bluntly as the jeep made its way down the road. Eventually it reached the entrance, and Roy saw dozens of suited up men with white camouflaged machine guns. They eyed the jeep as it drove through into the grid fashioned town. There were a few cars within the town but judging from the conditions of the homes, these people were not able to afford much.
-
"Man for a private military corporation they're very..."
-
"Broken down...not surprising actually. These ass hats are probably taking shit from these people everyday." He said as he continued to drive down.
-
"Yeah... I guess you could say that" He looked out the window, thinking
-
Soon they arrived at what seemed to be a roadblock. There were armed men waiting there, and one of the camo patterned merc's walked over to the jeep, a machine gun in hand. He tapped on the glass of the now stopped car, and Deity rolled down the window. "What brings you here?" The soldier asked roughly. "Looking to see Teagan." Deity answered. "You don't invite yourself to see the boss." "Ya well I'm looking to do business and thought he'd wanna hear it." "I can't let you pass without his permission." "Then we'll wait..." The soldier looked at Royal, and raised an eyebrow at him. "That armour?" He asked Roy.
-
"What about it? Roy looked over at the man "Custom made."
-
"No. I've seen that armour before. AMNC issued to the very steel." The soldier began to get suspicious. He peered inside the car and saw the weapon. "Sir. I'm going to have to ask you for your weapon." the soldier said with his grip tightening on his rifle. He cracked his neck, and it seemed that the rest of the soldiers took this as a sign because they all began to walk slowly to the jeep. Deity looked at Roy, with a raised eyebrow.
-
"Pardon me?" Royal looked down at the gun, then back at the man
-
"Your gun. I'm going to have to take it." The soldier replied. But now, it seemed like a threat. Deity mouthed to Roy "Just give him the damn gun!"
-
"Ah okay?" Royal slowly passed the shot gun to him "I expect it back."
-
"Be good and I'll make sure of it." The soldier said as he took the shotgun and strapped it to his hip. "Alright. Since you both co-operated, the guys and I will take you to Teagan. Gunna have to ask you both to get out of the car though. We won't be taking down the road block any time soon." "Sure thing." Deity said passively, opening the door and stepping out.
-
Royal did the same, stretching as he stepped out "Nice day."
-
"Not really." The soldier said. "But considering we're in a frozen wasteland I suppose it's alright." The soldier gestured for four of he men to come over, and they walked the two visitors past the roadblock. "The names smith by the way." The soldier told the two of them. "Mind if I get your names?" "Alex Coldbourne" Deity answered. He was a lot humbler then usual.
-
"Royal. Or Roy for short. Whichever you prefer really..." Royal kept his eyes forward
-
"That so? Sounds familiar." Smith said rhetorically. The guards walked the two up a set of stairs which lead up to a small cleared courtyard. In front of the courtyard was the castle, and in between the two visitors and that door were around fifteen men.
-
"Familiar. I'm a well known face." It sounded as if he were boasting
-
"Not to the ladies you aren't." Deity remarked, mocking the man's boast as they walked across the courtyard.
-
"Tell that to Anne..." Royal mumbled as he continued walking
-
They made their way indoors, and up a wide set of stairs to where there was a long table stretched out horizontally across the floor. In the middle was a thin, old man. He had greying brown hair, exposed hazel eyes, flat lips and hairy eyebrows. He was eating a massive chicken leg sloppily and messily. Beside him was a young girl, maybe fourteen. She held a platter of wine. Smith stepped forward, saluted, and introduced the two men. "Sir Teagan! I have potential business clients for you here sir!" He announced. The disgusting old man looked up, and dropped the drumstick on his plate. He grabbed the girls dress beside him and wiped his hands and mouth on it, which made her seriously uncomfortable. He looked at the two men like a vulture. "So?! What is it?!" Teagan asked with annoyance. "Sir Teagan, I'm Alex-" "I AM." "....what?" He asked with confusion. "You said "I'm." It is pronounced, I AM!" "Okay so I am-" "I HAVE had enough of you! Who is this robot right here then eh...?" He gestured to Royal.
-
"Man why is everyone asking about the armour?" He silently asked Deity as he looked at the man "I am Sir Royal. Fighter of the dojo"
-
"The dojo?! Ha! You look like you are hardly a warrior in your sisters bed!" He cackled away at his own joke.
-
"...." Royal didn't flinch, he simply looked at the man "And you don't seem like a warrior fit to sit on the streets as a beggar. I suppose this goes both ways."
