The drop to the floor but he felt an impact against his helmet from one of the rifles. Suddenly, Deity leapt from behind cover, his sword in hand. This took the pirates by complete surprise but the Legendary Swordsman had already begun his masterpiece. He twirled and slashed into the crowd, his massive infinite blade cleaving through the pirates with ease and he almost looked like a tornado of blood. They fired at him, but he positioned his movements so that the corpses he cut into would take the bullets rather then his own. But that didn't stop eight men from jumping atop a crate to get high ground, and aim down on him....
-
Cannon shakes off the blow to his head, ignoring the headache he was now getting. Not seeing how he could blast all eight bwfore they could shoot Deity, he quickly formed a plan. Activating his jetpack, he launched himself at the pirates, going nearly 40 mph and turning himself into a deadly projectile.
-
This tactic caught them off guard and sent them flying off the massive crate and off the ship, sending them crashing into the water. Deity continued to cut into them and fired his pistol as well, before jumping behind cover. This left about a dozen pirates in the open, and Cannon had the high ground.
-
Cannon leaps from the crates, smashing his armored knee into the neatest pirate's face and opening fire on the others.
-
Once again he took the pirates by surprise, and seeing their numbers dwindle the pirates began to sprint for their boats and jump off the ship, leaving 42 of them dead on the ship and one unconsious. "YA! FUCK YOU BITCHES!" Deity cried out as he raised his sword in the air for victory. The crew members cheered as well as only one speedboat started up and began to speed away from the ship.
-
Cannon blows the remaining speedboat out of the water with another wrist missile, ending the pirates.
-
"Whoo!" He yelled again. After the smoke cleared, the crewmen began to throw the corpses over board after looting their weapons. Deity, however, picked up one of the Ak-47's. He tested the sights, then slung it over his shoulder. He picked up some magazines and put them in his trench coat. He walked over to Cannon. "Good work! Bastards should know not to fuck with us in the future!"
-
Cannon nods, walking over to the unconscious pirate. "This guy will be useful."
-
"Ya...he should be." Alex said as he knelt down. "You be bad cop, I'll be good cop." He told Cannon. He smacked the pirate across the face, resulting him him waking up quickly. "GYAH!" The pirate yelled as he woke up. Deity drew his desert eagle on the pirate to show him his situation. "Well hello!" Deity greeted sarcastically. "Looks like you're in an interesting situation!"
-
Cannon walks over to the pirate. "Here's what's going to happen. Either you're going to tell us where your hideout is and how many of you there are, or I'm going to make you tell us. I personally don't care which one, seeing as we find out either way, but I'd hate to make a mess."
-
"Now see, my friend here isn't one to make empty threats. Trust me. I'd rather NOT hurt you but he's got a nasty headache from your boys shooting at his head so much..." The pirate looked in fear between to the two interrogators, yet he didn't answer....
-
"Where is your hideout, and how many of you are in your little gang." Cannon asks, picking up a piece of broken glass from the deck by a nearby window and examining it.
-
"We...we don't have a hideout! We took over a refuge city called Shi'an! And there is a lot more of us! Hundreds!" Deity turned to Cannon. "The co-ordinates of the distress call pointed us to a village of the same name..." "Y-ya! It was a village a month ago! But so many refugees pulled in that they built it into a city!"
-
"Do we trust him?" Cannon asks, looking to Deity. "He could be lying."
-
"Well I'd believe that part about the refugees. The twilit people were freed and there was hundreds of thousands of them. A lot went to Khalosh and rebuilt the place from the ground up, but it's possible that they went to the island as well..." He replied to Cannon. He turned his head to pirate. "These refugees, what do they look like?" "Like the night itself!" Deity turned to Cannon and nodded in confirmation.
-
Cannon nods, then before anyone can react he puches the pirate square in the nose hard enough to knock him out. "That's for shooting me, shabuir." He growls.
-
Deity raised his hand to object, but instead nodded in undertaking to himself. "well. Looks like we're gunna be shipping ourselves into a war zone." "You won't be going in alone!" Said a light voice. A woman stood on the stairs of the bridge, blonde in her looks. She was the captain of the ship. "I think I'm wanting some payback! What do you say men?!" She asked her crew, and the twenty men on deck cheered on approval. "Damn right!" She said. "We'll help these two liberate the city! And free it's people!" "Huh...well shit." Deity said to himself. "Looks like we got some helpers now." He told Cannon as he waved his hand to the captain in thanks.
-
Cannon nods, picking up the unconscious pirate and looking him over. "What should we do with this one? He of no use to us anymore."
-
"No point in killing him either. The pirates will do that. He'll be desperate as soon as he wakes up, maybe he'll join us." Deity Said mercifully.
-
"Or he'll stab us in the back. Your call though." He leans the pirate against the wall.
-
"I think if he tries that he knows he's straight fucked. I think we're good." Alex stated dismissively. "Alright Can. Take a rest. When we get to that city, we are gunna have a hell of a fight ahead of us."
-
Cannon nods before walking away to find a quieter spot for a rest.
-
Five hours later, Alex was shaking him to wake up. "C'mon! We're heading out now!"
-
Cannon wakes up and grabs his rifle before standing to follow him.
-
The two made their way to the deck, and Cannon saw the city. It was Dank and Ghetto, and it's brown features reflected the island it was on. There were buildings being half constructed but it seemed that no one was working. The tallest building lay at the corner of the city and it was maybe eight feet tall. That being said, the city was expansive and wide. "As soon as we reach the dock, we're gunna be entering absolute hell." Said Deity.
