The hallway went quiet, and Alex stepped out.
"Holy shit that was close!"
English
-
"We need to keep pushing forward" She starts heading forward
-
Alex followed close behind her. "Ya, no kidding. Check the corners before we get flanked the shit out of!" He suggested. Up ahead was a dead end, which lead to the left and to the right. Alex kept his back up against the right wall, and quickly checked the left path. "Clear." He said affirmatively.
-
Alpha checked the right path, finger on the trigger
-
The pathway was clear and was basically identical to the last one. "Okay...right or left?" Alex asked her.
-
"We can cover more ground if we split up." She took the left path
-
Alex yelled after her. "HOLD UP! HOW HAS SPLITTING UP EVER DONE ANY GOOD FOR ANYONE. EVER?!"
-
"It didn't" She tried to use her comms to keep track of him "Yo, Asshat, come in!"
-
"Ya ya. Calling me an asshat...pshh..." he said to himself as he ran after Alpha down the hallway. "Let's keep moving." The two made their way down the paths without any resistance. Eventually they walked into a large dome shaped room. In the centre was a platform that was slightly elevated above the rest of the floor. Otherwise, the room was a dead end.
-
Alpha checked the platform, standing on it "I mean, you answered to it."
-
"Har har. Funny." He said as he stepped up on the platform. Suddenly it shook, and began to descend slowly. "Uhhhhh. Okay. Imma just assume this was the right way to go...?"
-
"I guess. Elevator or a trap." She looked around, uneasy
-
"Ya Imma just draw my sword and say this might be a trap." He said in agreement as he drew the massive infinity shaped blade off his back. The elevator moved down and down through a dimly lit tube. Then, it stopped. There were only walls of concrete around Alex and Alpha, when suddenly one side opened completely with sliding doors, revealing a large room ahead.
-
"Nothing ventured, nothing gained." She entered the room, checking the corners
-
"Words to live by." Alex said as he twirled his blade in one hand and hopped into the next room. It was wide and long, but had a low ceiling. Alpha noticed small steel hatches along the walls that led up to a massive steel doorway. Suddenly a voice rang through the halls. "You two are disturbing my work here! Please leave!"
-
"What's your work?" Alpha called back "Cause I mean, if this is a meth lab you can probably just leave me some and I'll be on my merry way"
-
"Whoa same!" Said Alex. He looked to Alpha and shrugged. "I can have fun too." "NO! You are hurting my intelligence! Just go or I'll have you removed! Forcefully and aggressively!" Yelled back the voice.
-
"Look, I don't think exposing yourself was exactly intelligent....."
-
"I am behind a steel door that you cannot pass unless you make it across that room! I am telling you NOW to turn back! OR YOU WILL SERIOUSLY REGRET COMING HERE!"
-
"Yeah yeah, look Dr. Evil, what the -blam!- are you doing?"
-
"THAT IS NONE OF YOUR CONCERN!" He cried back. "Uh oh! You better clear your browser history then because we're coming in!" "WHAT?! NO! YOU WILL PERISH BEFORE YOU REACH THE DOOR!" Suddenly the hatches on the sides all opened up, and shot out a drone each. That made a total of twenty four drones which began to fire upon Alpha and Alex.
