"We...we don't have a hideout! We took over a refuge city called Shi'an! And there is a lot more of us! Hundreds!"
Deity turned to Cannon.
"The co-ordinates of the distress call pointed us to a village of the same name..."
"Y-ya! It was a village a month ago! But so many refugees pulled in that they built it into a city!"
English
-
"Do we trust him?" Cannon asks, looking to Deity. "He could be lying."
-
"Well I'd believe that part about the refugees. The twilit people were freed and there was hundreds of thousands of them. A lot went to Khalosh and rebuilt the place from the ground up, but it's possible that they went to the island as well..." He replied to Cannon. He turned his head to pirate. "These refugees, what do they look like?" "Like the night itself!" Deity turned to Cannon and nodded in confirmation.
-
Cannon nods, then before anyone can react he puches the pirate square in the nose hard enough to knock him out. "That's for shooting me, shabuir." He growls.
-
Deity raised his hand to object, but instead nodded in undertaking to himself. "well. Looks like we're gunna be shipping ourselves into a war zone." "You won't be going in alone!" Said a light voice. A woman stood on the stairs of the bridge, blonde in her looks. She was the captain of the ship. "I think I'm wanting some payback! What do you say men?!" She asked her crew, and the twenty men on deck cheered on approval. "Damn right!" She said. "We'll help these two liberate the city! And free it's people!" "Huh...well shit." Deity said to himself. "Looks like we got some helpers now." He told Cannon as he waved his hand to the captain in thanks.
-
Cannon nods, picking up the unconscious pirate and looking him over. "What should we do with this one? He of no use to us anymore."
-
"No point in killing him either. The pirates will do that. He'll be desperate as soon as he wakes up, maybe he'll join us." Deity Said mercifully.
-
"Or he'll stab us in the back. Your call though." He leans the pirate against the wall.
-
"I think if he tries that he knows he's straight fucked. I think we're good." Alex stated dismissively. "Alright Can. Take a rest. When we get to that city, we are gunna have a hell of a fight ahead of us."
-
Cannon nods before walking away to find a quieter spot for a rest.
-
Five hours later, Alex was shaking him to wake up. "C'mon! We're heading out now!"
-
Cannon wakes up and grabs his rifle before standing to follow him.
-
The two made their way to the deck, and Cannon saw the city. It was Dank and Ghetto, and it's brown features reflected the island it was on. There were buildings being half constructed but it seemed that no one was working. The tallest building lay at the corner of the city and it was maybe eight feet tall. That being said, the city was expansive and wide. "As soon as we reach the dock, we're gunna be entering absolute hell." Said Deity.
-
"Agreed. Three of us against a few hundred of them? Heh. They don't stand a chance." He loads the magazine of his blaster.
-
"Well then we're apparently playing on story mode because we got an entire armed crew that's following us into it. Let's show these bitches what's up shall we?" He said as he approached the side of the ship. The boat began to approach the large docking sector of the city, and the crew walked onto the deck along with the captain, each one armed. In total? There were twenty men and women.
-
Cannon nods, racking the bolt on his blaster to fill the firing chamber with plasma gas.
-
The massive ship docked, and the crew swarmed off the ship and onto the docks. Deity hopped over the railing and landed with a roll, cocking his AK47.
-
Cannon steps onto the docks and begins to march towards the town. "Everyone keep together. Move for the largest building, it'll give us an advantage if we take it first."
-
"No doubt they thought that too!" Said the captain. "Alright crew! Let's move!" She demanded, and the crew began to make its way off the docks and into the city of war. Deity waited for Cannon. "Do we want to go with them? Or take a different route to the tower?"
-
"If we take a different route, I have a feeling they'll get themselves killed without us." Cannon replies, moving to follow. "I'll call my ship in for air support."
-
does everyone have a discount army these days...?
"Sounds good. Let's move!" He replied as he began to jog after the small army they brought to the isles shores.
-
Cannon has a ship. That's all. Just one ship.
Cannon follows the crew, ready to open fire at a moments notice on any hostiles.
-
okay cool lol. Apparently everyone else has some army they are super eager to call in. Not a huge fan of cop outs
The crew made its way through the streets, and it was quiet. Too quiet. They continued on for a few minutes without any interference or sight of any other human being....
-
Cannon switches his HUD to show an area scan from his ship's camera. It reveals a top down view of the town as it scans for signs of life.
-
As the crew was stuck in the middle of an intersection, dozens of red dots lit up on the drones screen, all of which were in the buildings around them. They were completely surrounded and they had no idea.
-
"Contact, in the buildings." Cannon warns, his ship prepping and arming a few missiles.
