"Let's try to clear this hallway. Get it safe."
[b]The group split up, heading to any potential ways of cutting off the hallway from the space.
One of the men found a keypad along a wall, wired to a doorway and began hacking into it, until he found what he needed and the doors closed, making the hallway safe [/b]

The doors open, revealing a pitch black room. A horrendous smell meets their noses through the masks.

"Hello?! Anyone in here?" [b]They take cover outside, on the sides of the doorway into what they hope to be the bridge [/b]

There are bodies and pieces of bodies everywhere. It looks like a last stand was made in this hallway. There don't seem to be any none UCE bodies.

"Shit. [b]The men moved forward, weapons raised and flashlights on [/b]

They arrive at the bridge. It's veen ransacked. Suddenly, a voice is heard. "Freeze! Hands where I can see them!"

[b]The men create a circle, flashlights pointed in each direction to light up the room [/b] "Identify yourself and we will!"

A man steps out from behind a consul, he wields a handgun, which is pointed at the guards. "Commander Alex Riles of the UCS [i]Defiance[/i], who are you?"

"Corporal Talon. EX Soldier of the dojo."

"Dojo? We... We made it to Tatakai?" He asks, lowering his pistol.

"Yeah you did." [b]The guards lowered their guns, fanning out through the bridge [/b]

The man seems to mutter a quiet prayer and crosses himself. "Thank goodness. Did any other ships like mine arrive?"
-
"No none have arrived. Just yours."

The man scowls. "So I'm the last one." He holsters his pistol.

"Yeah you are unfortunately..."

"Then I have to warn you. They're coming."

"Who are they exactly? The people that did this to you?"

"Yeah, we don't know what they call themselves, but we call them corruption. They're coming this way." He tells them, clutching his wounded side.

"We'll be ready for them then."

"You don't understand... You need to run." The man tells them.

"Why the hell do we need to run?"

"Because they've destroyed worlds a lot stronger than Tatakai."

"Yeah well they haven't see Takatai."

"No, they've seen much worse." He doubles over, coughing blood.

"We need to get you out of here. We have a med Bay on board our ship."

"Y-yeah. Just let me grab a few things..." He turns to a busted consul and hits a few buttons. "Serenity, download into your card. Authorization number A-1790-1066." "Command recieved." Comes a new voice. Seconds later a card ejects into his waiting hand. "Alright, let's go."
