"Sure, she's usually stopping by the cafe of mine for tea around now. It's just on the other side of the road."
Outside the lab, Ash could be seen through the window sipping at her drink in her usual seat. It wasn't too hard to spot her out with her snow white skin in contrast with the other patrons. Amari walked out to her establishment and called closing time and asked Ash to stay for a bit for something important.

"It does not feel right. Having such a simple path to what could be Kross..."
-
"I figured, that's why I had Chesh run around and keep an eye out. He may be annoying but at least he's good at staying out of sight even if he can't teleport around in here."
-
"Where is Miss Ash? Perhaps she can determine if there is anything here."
-
"Shes been sitting back trying to make that marble of hers work, whatever that means." Ash was in fact within the crowd of cards looking at the black marble of hers knowing it was of little use in this place.
-
"Is she... Lost in thought? '
-
"Shes been like that for a while, I guess she can see her ghosts and whatever but can't. I can go check on her but I'm not too good with all this magic and sorcery stuff"
-
"Hmm... Perhaps you should try speaking with her. I'll go with you if you need."
-
"Hmm" Amari walks over to Ash "Hey snap out of it for a sec" "huh? Oh sorry" "What's with you? You've been acting all spacey since the operation." "sorry, there's just so many souls that need help. It's a bit hazy wandering throughout this place." "Huh, well I guess I can see that. Don't worry we can give this place a second comb over to save souls or whatever it is you do" "thank you... but please, focus on what needs to be done first" Amari nods and checks to see if any progress was being made on what could have Hamilton spooked. "Anything we wouldn't be able to see Ash?"
-
"Yeah. Do you see anything? The air feels off for myself."
-
"Hmm" Ash looks about with her unusual eyes suited for seeing paranormal activity.
-
Indeed, there was something. A soild watched the group from a rooftop some ways down. Before she could tell anyone however, a singular arrow fizzed through the air and found itself Buried into Ash's stomach. Hamilton turned almost immediately, getting her behind cover as a second arrow found itself buried in the chest of a card
-
Ash stumbles over getting down on her knees. She gets back up and draws her scythe. Amari quickly drew both of her pistols and look to Ash. "Where did that come from!?" "... he is over there" Amari looks towards where Ash was pointing and fired a round. "Give me a few seconds. Any of you with shields eyes to the skies" Several cards shields raised including a few creating a wall around Ash.

BOSS FIGHT: Hawkeye Gough Two more arrows were let loose, crashing into the shield that had been set up Another one, than another and another. The arrows were coming relentlessly.
-
"Tsk, you picked, the absolute worst method of attack to use." Amari quickly slingshot herself through the air with a vine, locks her pistol on target and fires a shot.
-
It tore through his left hand shoulder and he drew a sword, going after Ama
-
Suddenly there was a sting from the back. Amari was drawing attention while Chesh was busy sneaking up from behind ready to jab his claws into his victim.
-
Hawkeye spun around wildly, slashing in Chesh's direction
-
Chesh hastily moved close in to get out of the blades length as a blade was sent flying from Amari's arsenal for a headshot.
-
Hawkeye moved to the side and the blade went wide. The Archer kicked Chesh square in the chest, and Hawkeye brought his sword down on Chesh's head
-
Chesh caught the sword with his claws and backed off slipping away again looking for another opportunity to sneak attack. Amari was continuing her assault with blades forming and firing away constantly in a bombardment as she kept a lock on the giant.
-
The giant moved through the swords, avoiding the as he searched for Chesh
-
Chesh continued keeping his distance while Amari kept the pressure up. Asura began making his way up in stage 3. Despite that the magic barrier forced him to use his knife and the claws attached to his armor.
-
A sword went through the giant's thigh, then through his chest and stomach. He fell forward, defeated. Long range combat was... Not ideal for close range battle. So it was an easy fight
-
"Hey Chesh? You ok up there?" Chesh rears his head and climbs back down holding his side. "it appears I broke a rib or two. What do you believe I should do?" "Take it easy for a bit, I'll see about patching you up once we are sure we're safe"
-
Hamilton, the cards and Ash finally arrived on seen, looking on top of the rooftop "Are you all quite alright?"
