The figure only laughed, fading away into nothingness as the first two Viking Knights appeared on the streets.
They raised their swords, cutting down two cards in the back before disappearing.
The other two appeared in the middle of the small crowd, cutting down two more cards before disappearing.
Just an FYI, you'll see what happens to the "souls" later on
A viking formed in front of Ama, stabbing at her chest

The gargantuan sword functioned rather well as a shield letting her not only block but simultaneously counter attack by simply letting it fall forward. The ground underneath her started to crumble while she "prepared" the place. Many of the cards became much more focused leading to aces bolting at unbelievable speeds while clubs seemed to be flexing their raw power smashing effortlessly through anything close by.
-
The Viking looked suprised but the sudden counter attack and kicked at her knee, trying to get her down
-
"Wow, you really think your going to kick down someone that can carry this thing?" Barbed vines began bursting out for the ground latching on and rapidly rotating acting like a reversed chainsaw on contact. "Well you have more decency than your master I'll give you that"
-
In a desperate last maneuver, he swung towards he throat, but dropped the sword before it reached her. It skidded across the ground, and the Viking faded away into nothingness, small white lights floating upwards. The second Viking formed in front of Hamilton, swinging his blade towards Hamilton The large Knight chuckled, as he swung his hammer and hit the Viking in the side, sending him flying into a building. The last two Vikings formed behind their ranks, cutting down two more cards before anyone was able to react.

"Get down!" She yelled to the cards which hit the floor. A knife formed in Amari's hand that she flung targeting a Viking.
-
It landed square in the Viking's chest, and he slammed his sword into the chest of another card as he went down. The last and final Viking formed by Asura, swinging for the False Scholar's head
-
His body slumped over falling out of the blades swing and his second stage sat crouched with a dagger that was strapped to his bodies side. He lunged up going for an eye socket to stick his blade in. "I didn't live through two worlds by dumb luck you know, though I guess this form leaves the term living up for debate"
-
The Viking took a step back, but fell to Asura's blade. Finally, the dark Knight formed in the midst of the cards ranks and cut down three with a single blow. Dark shadows took another two, and he seemed to be using the darkness. (33/54)

"What? Got tired of brooding around?" She pulls out one of her massive pistols and fires off a rail spike sized round. A joker corpse was beginning to bloat up and the rest started to run off while the still dead body started to laugh. "Good god that's creepy.."
-
The Berserker phased through it, forming in front of Ama. Hamilton swung downwards with his hammer, and the dark Knight crumpled down to his knees. His body slowly faded from view, along with the Vikings and card corpses. Suddenly, they exploded into small white lights, drifting upwards into the sky. Chapter Four: A Night To Remember Hamilton took a sigh of relief as a head count occurred. "It would seem as though 20 cards were eliminated. We must reclaim their souls."
-
"Once we figure out how to break the magic barrier we could probably get Ash to take care of that. If anyone's going to be able to get someone back from wherever they go I'd probably place my bets on her"
-
"Of course... For now we must continue on our path."
-
"Yeah, let's make sure not to get jumped again. Keep your eyes out. If you see something, even if it's just mildly out of place, give us a heads up" A few knights grunted while the aces agreed.
-
And so, the group continued through the city streets, winding up in a large Plaza earning looks from what seemed to be a guard https://imgur.com/cZcVqHb The Knights were all around the plaza, but weren't doing anything hostile at the moment. Hamilton pointed towards a large towers deeper in the city "That's where we're headed."
-
"Huh, so it's not just all dark roads. Still, keep your eyes out." "those knights, who are they for?"
-
"Hamilton looked around the plaza, eyeing the Knights "The wandering souls of what once made up this city's guard I'm assuming."
-
"Huh, doubt were going through peacefully. I mean we could try but don't be surprised when sh_t hits the fan"
-
"I do not believe these Knights are with Kross. If they were, they surely would have attacked by now..." >Move through the plaza peacefully >Move through the plaza using force
-
"We'll try to see if they won't bother us but just be ready to take them out if they get out of hand"
-
"Agreed." https://imgur.com/1lYIyjW Hamilton went through the plaza to the other side, entering what appeared to be a two way street
-
"Well so far so good." She says keeping an eye on her surroundings as she walks through. "At least the place looks like it was nice before all this."
-
"Yeah... At least." The rest of the journey was simple, no one Tried anything on the ground and some civilians were even seen, or at least lost civilians. https://imgur.com/ZqnAaDM They reached a large archway that led into the inner city, but Hamilton stopped in front of it, looking In "It's not safe."
-
"Hmm? What up?" Her eyepatch begins scanning, trying to see what was going on.
-
"It does not feel right. Having such a simple path to what could be Kross..."
-
"I figured, that's why I had Chesh run around and keep an eye out. He may be annoying but at least he's good at staying out of sight even if he can't teleport around in here."
