"Good lord you have some stamina! Sure I'm the one who's been deflecting fucking bullets for the last twenty minutes but god damn!"

Cannon shrugs. "I'll go in front if you'd like." He replies.
-
"And get shot up?" Deity said with baited breath. "Nah! I'll be fine! Let's go!"
-
Cannon shrugs. "Suit yourself. I'm a bit low on ammo, so let's make it fast."
-
"Sounds good." He confirmed, composing himself. He opened the door, and raised His blade to block oncoming bullets. But...there was no one there except the civilians. One immediately came forward. "They all went up to the eighth floor!" He said. "God damnit they're fortifying for a last stand! Get out of here! All of you stat!" The civilians ran past the two and down the stairs to exit the building. After a couple of minutes the floor was cleared.
-
Cannon moves to the next staircase and draws a grenade. "Tine for fireworks?"
-
"Oh HELL yes." Deity answered with excitement.
-
Cannon pulls the pin and chucks it up the stairs. Seconds later a loud explosion is heard.
-
"Move!" Deity demanded. The two sprinted up the stairs and found a massive hole where the door was, and a pume of smoke. They made their way through and found a dozen bodies around them. This floor was different, as it was entirely an office. There were no more soldiers in the building, just one man who sat behind a massive oak desk with a wine glass in hand. It was half empty, and he took a long sip from it. It poured across the glass and past his dark dirty shaven skin. His eyes popped and his face was skinny, while the rest of him was rather built. "So you telling me..." He started. "You two took out just about all my men. In a day?!"
-
"Less than a day, actually. It's only been a few hours." Cannon replies, raising his blaster.
-
"Right. Pardon my French." He put carelessly. "And why exactly are you here? Wealth? I hardly have anything. Only men who were loyal to me."
-
Cannon looks to Deity. "What do you want to do with him?"
-
"Well. As long as he doesn't try anything, I think we can take him into custody. I'm sure the refugees here would enjoy that..." The man began to laugh at Deity's response. Slapping his knee. "What in the world makes you think I'm coming with you?!" He cackled. "Two against one asshat." Deity insulted back. "Or did you forget how to count?" The pirate leader looked at the two seriously. Before standing up with his arms raised. "Fine." He said, dropping his glass on the ground. "I surrender."
-
"Well... That was anticlimactic." Cannon mumbles, keeping his gun leveled as ge approaches the man with a pair of restrainer shock-cuffs.
-
"Oh did I mention I had this place rigged to explode?" The leader said quickly. He quickly tapped his pocket and the two saw a red light begin to beep. "OH FUCK!" Deity cursed.
-
Cannon pulls the trigger, blasting the man's hand with the detonator. "Is everyone clear of the building?" He asks Deity.
-
"Gyaaaah!" Cried the man before Deity could answer. "Ya! They better be clear! We have to get out of here now!" He yelled. "Hehe. Good luck you bastards!" The leader said. "Because you got maybe fifteen seconds before this place goes up!" "God DAMNIT! Can?! Any ideas?!"
-
"Jetpack. Hold on!" Cannon grabs Deity and shoots the nearest window before jumping with him.
-
"Oh shit!" He yelled in surprise as the two made their drastic escape. Suddenly every floor of the building exploded into flames like a grand instrument to a beat, and it finished as the two landed on the ground. Deity looked up at the flaming building, wide eyed. "Holy shit!!!"
-
Cannon looks up as well. "Yeah..."
-
Deity put his hand on Can's shoulder with a smack! "Thanks for the uh..quick thinking there." He put lightly. An entire floor of the building collapsed as the two stared up at it.
-
"No problem, mate." He replies, the fire reflecting off his visor. "Thanks for the exciting job."
-
"Ya! No problem..." he said, slightly put of breath. Suddenly the two heard the pattering of feet behind them. Deity turned around to see what it was, and as Cannon did as well he saw thousands of people flooding the streets. They were the civilians from all over the city, and they kept coming in. Deity stepped on top a vacant car to get a better look at the massive crowd that filled the street ahead of them. Then...they all began to cheer. They sang songs of thanks, as they looked to Deity as well as Cannon. Deity looked to Cannon, his eyebrow raised and a smug grin crossing his face.
-
Cannon looks slightly uncomfortable with all the attention.
-
"Looks like we just got our army..." Deity muttered to himself as he raised his sword in the air. The cheering and partying went on deep into the night...and the Infinity Corporation just became a house hold name for the island....
The end!
