Nintendo has never made an unsuccesful console
NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii. All sold extremely well and were very successful. The switch will be no different. I know they've all be successful because I've never even heard of anything else by Nintendo!
Also, their handhelds have been only amazing and always improve so no need to list those.

Nes, Snes, and 64 were great, the GC and Wii sucked though. they sold decently but they never sold games because games on them didn't exist
