Alright, some ground rules for this post.
If you do plan on combating the two characters below, I will kindly ask that you do it with a non-magical, melee-focused or medieval-styled character of your own. This post is intended for those types of characters - some good ol' classic melee battles.
This doesn't have to be a battle to the death, but if you wish? Place it in a spoiler saying that you're fine with the possibility of death.
As always, enjoy.
The dark orange skies of Tatakai began to turn an even darker color than beforehand, as the sun which the planet orbited around began to set slowly, as the moon began to rise from the side of the planet. As the evening began to slowly end, the sound of steel clashing against steel sounded from one of the Dojo's many courtyards, the walls of the place of training being slowly rebuilt and restored.
The rather brutal session of training was being completed by two rather different figurines - both of them battling each other to the death, with a deadly amount of skill and prowess within each as they fought. The first of the two was a giant of a man, at a height of exactly six feet and six inches tall. His highly muscular body was hidden away by a set of steel plate armor, while dull yellow fabric hung from his waist and shoulder plate. Upon the shoulder, a white symbol rested - a double-headed eagle, both mouths opened wide as if it was roaring in a never-ending hunger for violence. The warrior's thick steel helmet covered his face and head entirely, the metallic visor lowered over his face in order to protect him entirely.
The second of the two duelists was the polar opposite - it was a lightly armored female, from the looks of it. She stood at a height of five feet and eight inches tall, which was certainly short compared to the giant that she was combating. She was lacking in muscular mass and appearance, although her swift and elegant movements suggested that she was highly athletic and active in her training. A dark grey set of leather armor covered her body, as light metallic plates of steel covered her forearms and kneecaps, while a tattered black hood hid away her facial appearance. And even yet, a steel helmet covered her head underneath the hood, two faint eye sockets implemented within it to provide vision.
The giant knight was currently wielding a massive oak and steel halberd within his armored hands, the blade of the weapon sharpened to the maximum and intended for slashing through armor and flesh with remarkable ease. About half of the weapon looked as it was screwed onto the stick, suggesting that there was some other object that he used for a weapon. Strapped to his waist tightly was a cross dagger, the steel weapon held within a leather sheath and remaining still for the time-being. In the warrior's case, it was probably for back-up purposes, in CQC or if he was disarmed by some rare chance.
The woman, on the other hand, held a three-foot long longsword within her right hand and a fourteen inch long dagger in her left, both blades sharpened and more than capable of ripping through flesh. Throwing knives were strapped to her chest, as if utilized as secondaries or as a source of ranged weaponry. Each knife was sharpened to the maximum, intended for piercing flesh and extremely light armor with ease.
The two then suddenly charged towards each other, as the knight swung his halberd with a roar escaping his mouth, as the weapon's blade flew towards the woman's ankle. She raised her foot as she sprinted, stomping upon the blade and raising her other knee to slam it into the man's armored chin. It succeeded, as he was sent back for a moment. Feeling lucky, the woman charged to drive her two blades into his armor, except for the fact that she ignored his sudden recovery. He lifted his halberd up once more, slamming the stick into her waist and sending her slamming into the concrete wall within the training grounds. An "Oof!" escaped the woman's lips, as she crashed into the wall and narrowing slid to her right, as the giant shoulder-charged straight into the concrete and yelled. As both recovered and proceeded to circle each other once more, the knight sighed, and spoke up for a little bit:
"...You are aware of how unfair this battle is, yes?" He spoke up, lowering his halberd for a moment as the woman in front of him chuckled. She shrugged, before she responded.
"Because you can't catch me? Yeah, I guess. You know what we really need?" She questioned, as she sheathed the two blades that she held within her hands tightly. The knight was the one who chuckled this time, speaking to her.
"...Competition."

Edited by Orn: 2/27/2017 11:29:10 PM"...No fun in that. I'm kicking your ass or I'll die trying at this point," Octavia joked, beckoning Jessica forwards as she only began to approach, a newfound longing to at least defeat the woman sparking within her. "...Probably the latter, but it's not like I care too much."
-
"Alright I have a better idea; Lose and you're mine, you do what I want when I want it. If I lose, the same thing applies."
-
"...Bet the first thing that you ask of me is to stab myself or to eat you out, but...fine. I'll accept this." The knightess chuckled, as her brother only sighed in the background.
-
"Oh dearest, how you know me," Jessica joked, putting her hand on her forehead and throwing her head back to exaggerate a faint, before she readied herself.
-
Octavia suddenly lunged towards Jessica (after she finished the faint - the knightess didn't want to interrupt that of all things), as swung her longsword at Jessica's left arm swiftly, keeping the dagger in her left within her hand.
-
Jessica spun right to accumulate more force and speed, before blocking and slamming her katana into the blade of Octavia.
-
The knightess crossed and held her sword in such a way that Jessica's blade hit the pommel, although the trick required her to use both hands and drop her knife. Octavia then brought her knee into Jess's stomach, intending for her spiked kneecap to dig into the wound.
-
Jessica's wound was punctured by the knee spike, though her proximity only made this a benefit to her. She grabbed a throwing knife from her belt, and made an attempt to jam it in the side of Octavia's neck.
-
Octavia immediately raised her arm to block the blade, as it only sunk into her shoulder. Her hand suddenly shot forward as she kept the two in the sword lock, pressing her thumb deep into Jessica's right eye before pressing her foot against her opponent and kicking.
-
Jess' eye hole bled in crimson and gave a disturbing warmth to Octavia's thumb, forcing a blood-curdling scream from the woman. She jumped back, grabbed a smoke bomb from her waist, and threw it on the ground as the vision of both the two were obscured.
-
Octavia only fell back, tearing the knife within her shoulder out as she gripped her longsword tightly. She backed into the wall behind her, assuring that Jessica could only attack from in front of her or her sides.
-
That was her folly. For the two of them were in the Dojo, a land where physics doesn't exist. Jessica had been coming wallrunning from Octavia's left side, and stabbed at the woman's shoulder trap from the side while kicking her in the side of the head.
-
Damnit. Octavia yelled out in sudden surprise, as at this point - her left arm had been rendered useless, as her shoulder trap and several other bones had been torn through and broken. She stumbled to the ground, rising up and attempting to pinpoint Jess's location as a trickle of blood fell from her mouth.
-
Jess stayed on the ground, crouching and watching Octavia with her sword tip pressed against the ground. "...Ready to giv-give... Up?"
-
"...Never," The knightess murmured, her head turning to Jess' location as she circled her opponent silently.
-
Jessica grabbed three throwing knives from her belt, proceeding to throw them at her in a wide arc. Like a Genji Right Click.
-
Octavia spun and kneeled, as only one of the knives slammed into her left shoulder. She gagged in pain, rising up and allowing the blood to flow from the wound as she slowly approached.
-
Jessica saw her advantage and took it, sheathing her blade again and starting to throw knives left and right.
-
Edited by Orn: 3/1/2017 12:04:12 AMEyes widening, Octavia suddenly dropped to the ground in a dodging motion, before adrenaline began bursting through her. She pushed herself up immediately, jolting left and right as she continued to use her left arm as a literal shield - meanwhile, she was getting closer and closer..
-
...So Jess walked farther and farther, soon drawing her blade when Octavia got near.
-
Sprinting towards Jessica, Octavia began to deliver a flurry of slashes with her sword, energy fueling her to do so - a slash to Jess's legs, a sudden stab to her right hand, another slash to her left...it was all non-lethal, though.
-
"One thousand cuts couldn't hold me down..." Jess said, stepping back with each swing.
-
"...Will two thousand?" Octavia muttered, as she continued to swing rapidly. She was beginning to push Jess into the concrete wall.
-
"That would just help me~" Jess happily sang, lunging forwards and slashing at Octavia's throat with seemingly no regard for her own health.
-
"...God, I'm actually beginning to like you a little," Octavia smiled underneath her helm, before she stopped swinging and held her sword close to her chest, initiating a blade lock. She continued pushing Jess into the wall, awaiting for the woman to draw a knife.
