A hologram was brought up of some sort of new Alliance weapon of sorts.
"This is the first time we've brought this out in the field. It's called a Breacher Pod. We have hundreds of these within our ships, but this is the first we'll truly have to use them." Hackett replied, before Admiral Koris appeared from some sort of VI holgram communicator, appearing the same height as his physical self.
"The Quarians originally developed it during the Battle of Rannoch to break through the thick plating of Geth dreadnoughts. We only used about a hundred of them. Ever since then, we've changed the plans to the Alliance. We still have a lot, but they're mass producing them." Koris responded, opening a bunch of details on specific parts of the pod.
"The armor is light, allowing the boosters to fire at a very high velocity, allowing the target to breached within two or so minutes, at least. Once breached, it'll scan the area for any open area and dig as far as possible to reach a suitable point. Once then, it fires a forward cluster charge into the area, firing a few frag grenades in the area. It'll allow the area to be cleared, before the hatch opens, allowing the troops inside the pod to exit." Koris explained, "But...there's also a lot of risk within this."
"Whatever the cost, an unlucky shot or good pilot could destroy the pod either with what you humans called a 'kamikaze', or an ace pilot who can shoot it down with a few well time shots. There's also the fact that the maximum personnel count is 15 per pod; and as far as we know, there's twice as much personnel on this flagship than actual pods; so some military forces will have to stay behind on the ship." Koris replied.
"Our plan is to use these breached pods to either self-destruct the dreadnought and redirect toward the gas planet of Thelum, or to take control of the dreadnought to understand Cerberus's new technology. We're sending the Deimos crew, any of your Dojo's 'heroes' and a few hundred other military forces.Sending in the Kodiaks or the Deimos is too risky unless we take down the ship's AA guns." Hackett explained. "Any questions? This may be the last time you'll be able to ask them."

Jack: "No. We got it covered." The team slowly creeper into the bridge, switching to a more stealth based operation and picking off the patrols
-
One of the combat engineers turned around seeing the group, and tried to stab a combat knife toward Talath. Riley and Val eventually came to them carrying the unconscious Shepard, armed with just pistols.
-
Talath moved to the side, the blade Grazing his side as he slammed the engineer's head into the terminal. As Talath finished with that, the Invictus crew and any alliance troops scattered throughout and fired at the everyone in the room, using their assault rifles which tore through seats, but got stuck in the body, keeping the monitors safe.
-
Mostly everyone in the main control room was dead, although the bridge was being evacuated, with the recruits running in fear, leaving the Alliance soldiers to engage the Cerberus forces. An admiral in a white suit tried to plead to someone over the communicator for support. Problem was...he was behind a crate, unarmed, and not dangerous whatsoever. All that was left was the console to deal with, and everything would've been done.
Permission to give Jack a little makeover on his face? Or no?
-
It's gonna be hard considering his Pilot Helmet, but to for it.
Jack approached the man, his wingman raised "Step away from the console."
-
"P...Please...stay...away." He worded, somewhat scared. A monitor showed up, showing what seemed to be a familiar woman was shown, seemingly in a Kodiak. Val, who was at the doorway with Riley, became pale as she knew who that was. "You really think I didn't know that you'd try to go after this ship, Pilot Cooper? Probably didn't even realize that this was a distraction from what I was truly doing. Silly me, Val hasn't introduced me. Maya Brooks, Cerberus leader. Or...new leader. Good luck by the way; either you save the 32 million people that haven't evacuated Demeter by killing Admiral Milano here, or you destroy this dreadnought, but turn the entire planet into a graveyard for more than McAllen." Brooks explained, before she gave a two finger salute, turning the monitor off. "Pilot, I know what you'll do. Brooks...she set me up. She tortured Val right in front of me, to give me some form of strength. She's forcing you to destroy millions of people just to give the Alliance a bad name; I have a family back home with children and a wife; I didn't even sign up to lead a fight like this; she had me at gunpoint!" Milano replied, an Italian accent within his voice. Hackett was heard as he jumped onto comms. "Pilot, this ship's FTL core is down. We can't send it everywhere else. Killing Admiral Milano will delay us from any Cerberus intel, but we'll be able to save people. These people know what the worst case scenario is, and they're willing to be prepared for it. In 10 minutes, his next breath will activate every single reactor on the planet into meltdown. Whatever you choose...we're behind you. All of us." Hackett says.
Shoot Admiral Milano (+15 Hammer Fleet) Let the People of Demeter die and save Milano (+15 Shield Fleet) (I'll explain this later)
-
Cooper fired his Wingman into the Admiral's thigh and walked over, slamming the Admiral's head into the ground, but keeping him awake "Is there any way to control the ship without your Death?!"
-
"No! Maya broke the entire FTL core to the point where unless we can somehow steal energy from a mass relay in 10 minutes! Plus, she knocked the engines clean, so we can't move, and the outer defenses are completely wiped! Commander, if what she says is true, in 9 minutes, we'll lose innocents on that planet because that b**** planted a breathing detonator on me!" He replied, panting heavily. "Bringing me with you will end with the entire planet experiencing a nuclear winter, and killing me allows Maya to basically surprise attack any colony at will. Plus.." he says, pointing to the Shepard clone, "She has some of those agents right now! On Tatakai, Harmony...she has them everywhere! Look...if it's for the betterment of good...kill me...just tell my family on Eden Prime that Daddy loved them...so very dearly." Milano said, tears slowly forming in his eyes.
-
Jack placed his hand over the Admiral's throat, making it seem as though he wasn't breathing "Try moving the ship one of you."
-
Val used her Omni-tool to check the status of the ship. "Jack...I'm sorry. The drive and FTL cores are out, the engines were obliterated during the initial assault, and any remaining engineers aboard the ship are either dead or already evacuated. It'll take me days to figure out how to deactivate one of the cores, and we'll lose life support in a matter of 2 hours." She explains. Milano looked at the pistol, then at Jack. Of course it wasn't an act of aggression; it was an act...a lot more depressing than that.
-
"I'M NOT LETTING ANYONE DIE! Iseph, work with Val. We have seven minutes left. Figure it out in five." Iseph: "Pilot Cooper, I regret to..." Jack: "Do it." Iseph walked towards the console, motioning Val over
-
Val followed him. "I...think I understand why he feels this way. But...he needs to know that hard choices need to made to save so many others. Iseph, unless we take all the energy from the nearby relay and place it in the core within 7 minutes...I don't think Demeter's going to survive." She whispers to Iseph. Milano continues staring at his Wingman, his hands starting to fidget with itself.
-
Iseph: "Pilot Cooper is an intelligent man. He will find the strength needed. In the meantime, I will do what I can." He scanned anything around the planet, through the system and looked for a closer energy source
-
*Unless he wanted the entire ship to suck in an entire gas giant, there was the Mass Relay...and who knew what effect that could have on the entire system.* "We have to kill Milano." Val whispered to Iseph, before Milano broke free of Jack's grips and pulled out an M-5 Phalanx Pistol. "I'm...I'm sorry." Was his last words before the trigger was pulled. Bang! His limp corpse dragged itself down the console behind him until it stopped, blood covering Jack's pilot helmet and body. Val and Riley simply were on the verge of crying.
-
Jack looked down at the body, completely frozen Iseph: "I believe that's the cue." He interfaced with the control panel, changing the ships trajectory to go around the planet instead of hitting it Dead on
-
The dreadnought, although almost powerless, starting moving within orbit of Demeter, floating itself around the planet. "Pilot, we have a Kodiak waiting for you in he hangar when your ready to leave." An Alliance soldier replied over comms. "I....I think we should leave him be." Riley had somehow choked out, beginning to go into tears as Val comforted him. The alarms had been blaring outside, but no other sound was heard.
-
Jack: "I-i-i-i tried...." Iseph: "Pilot Cooper, there's nothing you could have done" Jack: "I...." He took a deep, shaky breath as he left the bridge
-
They followed, Alliance soldiers heading straight for the hangar. Faintly, they could see an injured Cryark and Merrick with a broken wrist being loaded onto two medical Kodiaks. Silsia came by with 2 other Alliance medics, all of them search for any serious injuries. "What happened up there?" Silsia asked, checking Jack for any injuries. "Don't ask about it. Just...let him be." Val replied. The asari nodded, escorting them back to the shuttle to send them back to Hackett's ship.
-
The Invictus crew stopped at the hangar, talking amongst themselves when one of them called Riley over Ghost: "Hey, It's Riley right?"
-
"Yeah! Why you ask?" She replied, walking over to them. Her tears hadn't exactly stopped, as hinted by her voice, but they were at least somewhat slowing down.
-
Ghost: "Sorry for bothering you, but does this place have an armory?"
-
She checks her Omni-tool. "Yeah, about 2 or so doors down." She says, pointing to a door near them.
-
Ghost: "Thanks." The Invictus crew moved towards the armory
-
She nods. "I'll delay the Kodiak until you guys are ready." As they walk by the bloodied hallways, they saw corpses of Alliance and Cerberus soldiers of varying classes and types. The armory had a dead engineer at the door, bullets riddled across his body.
-
Noble: "This place place is a warzone...." Serendipity: "At the end of the day, we've seen worse worse than this." The crew entered the armory, looking around it
