"Is somebody there? Anyone?"
Ash looked around the tower curious why it had to be her and her alone.

[b]As she entered the clock tower, the gates closed behind her and seemed to lock. Then, everything went black.[/b] [b][i][u]Chapter Five: Reality's Disarray[/u][/i][/b] [b]Ash awoke to find herself in a.... In a bed? As if everything prior had just been a dream. But that wasn't possible... Was it? The sound of running water was heard from outside the bedroom [/b]

Ash got up confused and look around, eventually she started walking to see what was going on. She reached out for her scythe for protection.

[b]It wasn't there, in fact everything felt different in some way. She found herself wearing sweat pants, and a loose button down tee shirt. Upon exiting the small room, she entered a small living room like area with an opening into a kitchen. In the kitchen, oddly enough was Royal? Who seemed to be cooking something [/b]

"I was told you were kidnapped" She said staring in disbelief. "We came to an island. What is all this?"

[b]Royal turned to her, smiling [/b] "Kidnapped? Did you have another one of those nightmares sweetheart?" [b]Wait. Sweetheart? Something was wrong... Very wrong [/b]

"What? Sweetheart? You're acting strange. None of this makes sense" Ash visibly was confused. She only knew Royal as the warrior which made this all the more strange to witness.

[b]He laughed slightly [/b] "Strange? Is it strange that I'm calling the woman I love, sweetheart?" [b]This had to be a dream. Right? Maybe it wasn't... [/b]

"Where... am I?"

"The dojo of course! Where else would you be?"

She looked out the window, wondering if there really was the dojo outside. "Well... at least it's a nice dream. I don't know what to think about this though"

[b]Sure enough, outside the window was the main dojo courtyard. She had to find a way out. But what was it? [/b]

While she would enjoy to stay for longer she knew this was a trick and in the real world, she had to save him. "I'm curious, if I never sleep, why would I wake up in a bed?"

[b]Royal stopped, and sighed [/b] "Because you were tired after last night? I'm not entirely sure myself."

"You have his face which makes this all the more harder..." She grabbed one of the kitchen knives, trembling at the thought. "Please, don't make me have to do this, just let me go so I don't have to"

"I can't let you go... I don't want to!" [b]Royal placed his hands on her shoulders, looking at her pleadingly[/b]

"Then what is this? I don't understand"

The door behind her was gone, with no way out and the others had no way in.[/b] "It is a pleasant surprise to see that you have arrived."

Still a little shook up from the illusions Ash faced the creature. "And who are you?" [spoiler]when you realize you litteraly own a ceramic slug with a santa hat on ._.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]....[/spoiler] "Who am I? I should ask you the same question. I gave you your deepest desires! Let you live you in your greatest dream. You denied it... Who am I? I am Aldrich. The Devourer of Gods! And I am oh so curious."

"While it was... pleasant in many ways I believe you had misinterpreted some things. It was only an illusion."

"Yes yes, what is it?" [b]Aldrich was focused on the book. A prime time for a suprise attack... [/b]

"What if, I could bring you a lord of cinder for your meal. Someone particularly powerful"

[b]Aldrich turned slightly, eyeing Ash [/b] "Pardon?" [spoiler]That moment when Aldrich is Kross servant. And Ash is trying to turn him [/spoiler]
