Waking up in a hospital with no recollection of the past week is bad. It's worse when the hospital is surrounded with the sounds of battle.

The events of the last days suddenly came into clear focus for Timothy Burmand. He had tried to get to the world renowned dojo for training, but had gotten into a fight before even entering the complex. The fight left him scarred and battered, but he was always ready for more.
He got up, immediately regretting the choice, as he crashed back down onto the bed. His side had been slashed open and his head hurt immensely from being pummeled. He again slowly rose to his feet and struggled to the door, trying to find a way out. He went through so many corridors to try to find a way out. Finally, one door opened to a bright light, and he stumbled out, hoping to find help.
He wasn't outside, but rather in some small, intensely lit room. The door closed behind him and he panicked.
this can't be happening
The room hummed with an intense energy, and grew to a searing and bright colour. He passed out again.
He awoke in the middle of the street, and sprung up to his feet. He was suddenly filed with an unknown energy, and ran into the nearest building, thirsty and in need of striking up a conversation. It had been too long since he had talked to another person.
