An arrival.
2:34 AM, Dojo gates.
A resounding knock echoes through the Dojo at an un-godly hour, its source standing at the entrance of the Dojo's massive gates. Morning dew slid down the leaves and blades of grass as the figure continued to knock for several hours, not taking a break until answered. The sun slowly rises into the sky as the moon disappears into the horizon, the strangers' armor clanking with every knock. Almost nine feet in height, their titanium-alloy armor glints in the morning sunlight as a large sword sheathed by their left side scrapes softly, it swaying lightly along with the leaves blown by the wind. On his back hangs a massive assault rifle, ornate runes carved into its barrel and blades that lined the barrel. The visor of his helmet shows no sign of emotion, and an air of seriousness surrounds his person. He continues knocking, evident he won't stop until let in.
Open. First post in a loooong time, so forgive me if my formatting/storytelling is a bit off. I still need to shake off the rust.
A small sky island hovering ten feet off of the ground floated over near him, keeping a distance. A void shield generator was sat next to Sally, the small, and cute girl sat atop the island. She seemed passive and merely watched, innocently and curiously. "Hello! :D" She said, seeming to be in her early twenties.
-
Turning towards the voice, Bjorn is taken slightly aback by the sudden appearance of a small, floating island. Once the shock wore of after a few seconds, he waved back. "Well hello there! Who might you be I wonder, floating in on such a contraption?"
-
"I'm Sally, and this is my island! :D" The island hovered innocently, as this character is entirely passive and doesn't fight. She wore a tank top that went to her knees and flip flops.
-
Chuckling at her cheery demeanor, Bjorn puts his hands on his sides as he looks up to Sally. "Well, Sally, would you mind letting me in? I have business that requires attending too. Alas, your floating island sparks my curiosity to no bounds, so before you oblige my request, would you mind telling me how it works?"
-
"I'll let you in. :3" She said, cheerily. "As for the island, I have no idea. I've been here on the island for as long as I could remember! :D" The island extended a hand made of clay that opened the gate. "There you go! :3"
-
Smiling under his helmet, Bjorn bows in thanks before starting to walk inside. "Thank you kindly! By the way, the name is Bjorn Einar. I come here on a mission, but I hope to become acquainted with the locals. May we meet again sometime in the future!"
-
"Okie! :D" She floated away, into the Dojo.
-
End, I guess. This interaction was quite fun, and I hope to RP with you sometime in the future!
*He hears what sounds like some sort of creature letting out a strained chirp behind the door. Eventually they manage to push it open and what he sees is a small aardwolf, no bigger than a fox looking back up at him. A barely visible orange glow surrounds the creature, small tendrils extending from said glow and disappearing. Its large ears tilt back as its large black eyes stare up at him.* -You big! You scary!-
-
Backing away from the door as it opens, Bjorn is visibly taken aback by his greeters' size, even with his armor covering his face. Taking a knee to lower himself to at least be closer to eye-level with the creature, he extended his hand in a welcoming handshake. "Well, small creature, looks can be quite deceiving." His voice is slightly distorted from traveling through the helmet, but compassion can be clearly heard in the tone of Bjorn's voice.
-
*She backs away a little, but nervously reaches out a tiny paw to shake.* -Who you?-
-
Scratching at the chin of his helmet, Bjorn ponders the question. "Who am I... That is a very good question. I see myself as a traveler, venturing far and wide until I find the culmination of my journey. Now, "Who am I"... Such a fickle prin-" Realizing that she meant who he actually was, Bjorn blushes a little under his helmet. "I apologize, I thought you were asking a more philosophical question... I am Bjorn Einar, shield of the weak. Who might you be, little one?"
-
*She tilts her head, not understanding have the words he said.* -Nice meet you Bjorn... I Dalien.-
-
"Well, little Dalien, would you happen to have your parents around, or maybe somebody related to you that could let me in? I think it's hardly appropriate for me to take advantage of on so young as yourself." A small amount of electricity arcs off of the sheathe of his sword and onto his armor, but is unnoticed by Bjorn. He sits on one knee, awaiting entry into the Dojo.

Edited by Skatch142: 3/3/2017 4:13:34 PM-Parent? What that? Not young. Grown up. Ten and four.- *She says, tilting her head more with confusion.*
-
Edited by Pofeh: 3/3/2017 7:51:48 PMChuckling at his mistake, Bjorn shakes his head. "I an sorry, little one. Your size deceived me, and I thought of you as but an infant. I see now that you, being a different race then most, not unlike me, age differently then others. I myself may be in my thirties, but to my species I am but the equivalent of an eighteen year old human; growth wise, that is."
-
-That odd... Can let in though.-
Just for better visual description, Dalien walks around on all fours and is the same size as any other adult aardwolf. She is just surrounded by a faint orange aura which can protect her and she is far more intelligent than the average aardwolf, but less intelligent than the average human.
-
Standing up from his kneeling position, Bjorn smiles underneath his helmet. "That would be quite nice, if you don't mind. Are there any others like you around here, or are you the only one of your kind? I would think it to be hard living in such a place, without somebody at least similar to you to live with. I have constantly endured hatred and fear throughout my travels, simply because people are afraid of those who are different."
-
-Alone... Live in hole.-
-
Saddened by her answer, Bjorn gives into his curiosity and inquires why. "Why would a creature such as you live alone? Even hermits need company once and a while... Without social interaction, life ceases to be, and in it's place comes the wait for death; at least, that's how I see it."
-
-Home is hole... Sleep night... Talk to people... But no friend... No one give house... Or share house.-
-
Walking through the gateway, Bjorn gives some thought to his response. Turning around, he scratches at his sheathe. "If I may be so bold, when I take up residence-If I do, that is- I shall happily invite you to my home. Someone as yourself is a beautiful creature, and they shouldn't have to live alone in a hole with nobody to speak to, or to share jolly merriments with."
