The Enforcer checked the datapad, simultaneously hacking into any available database nearby.
"High statistical probability that this Pablo has involvement in incident. Possibly to send message. Other involved smugglers inevitable. He will pay."
After reciting a short blessing in an alien language, Steel rose to his feet, and returned to the hanger for planning search procedures.

Pablo sat in his mansion, guards patrolling the outer edges close to the walls of the valley, and even a UAV that patrolled over head to ensure no one got any funny ideas. Invading his base was next to impossible, unless you had a team.
I meant searching the civilians for cocaine.

rip
Several pregnant women were seen entering different buildings and then exiting. Perhaps it was a new way of smuggling after all. Maybe the one who now lay dead was just an accident.

Back at the LTT Tankbred, the Enforcer popped a small drone from his console. It floated up in front of him, chirping happily. "Alright, Ananke. I need you to scan any and every civillian for Benzoylmethylecgonine. If the-" Steel slapped the drone as it started to wander off. "Hey! I'm not done. If they have any on or in them, snapshot. If they have this chem ratio, follow them for a while. Anake, focus on this one." The drone chirped in the affirmative, before flinging off near silently.

A woman walked across the street, her belly bloated with pregnancy. A usual suspect, it appeared. Within her, 50 small bags of the product.
-
Having fully removed his armor, Steel now looked like a common citizen. Walking up to the lady, he put on his best European Spanish accent, using his looks to his advantage. "Hello Miss, I must say that you look absolutely parched! We can't be having that happen with your condition, now can we? Here, drink. Drink! It's just water!" Steel handed the woman a bottle of water laced with High-potency Detoxol (That could reduce the viable cocaine level to .05%) and a mild corrosive strong enough to break the bags, but not damage her stomach lining.
-
She looked like a child caught doing something they weren't supposed to. "I-I.. I'm fine, thanks.." She kept walking, frightened.
-
Ananke the drone dropped out of the sky in front of the woman, producing a full-scale but not terribly convincing hologram of Steel. "I do not, advise this course, of action Ma'am." It stuttered out, face expressionless. The actual, full color Steel strode up to her. Dropping the accent, he tried to be as serious as possible without being intimidating. "Miss, if it wasn't for the fact that you're carrying a child, I would be well within legal limitations to shoot you and leave you on the street. Those narcotic bags in your stomach have an unacceptable failure chance. If they break, you'll die, and so will your child. I can't let that happen." Steel put both hands up, showing no aggression, while inching closer.
-
Her small and innocent face looked terrified. "Please, stay away..! HELP SOMEONE HELP!" She shouted, people beginning to step between her and Steel. She did her best to run away.

Edited by Monarch Neo: 3/8/2017 3:02:24 AMSteel grabs her by the shoulder, firmly. He shakes his head pinching his brow in frustration. He then puts his finger over her mouth, gently. "Shhhh. Shhh. Miss. I can assure you that I mean no harm, and that I were to harm you for selfish reasons, it would be my sworn duty to end my own life as stated in the law. You are perfectly safe with me. Several times safer than with some... Narc-king!" Even if the woman had no way to read faces, it was more than clear that he was being genuine.
-
She nodded, shaking in fear. "O-okay.."
-
Steel's hard visage of a police officer softens into a more reassuring one, his tone doing the same. "Listen, I can get that stuff out of you, but you have to drink the water, okay? Hey, You'll be fine. Trust me." Steel held up the detox-spiked water.
-
She hesitantly drank it, still shaking a bit.
-
"That's it... There you go. You don't have to be afraid anymore. You're safe here." Steel took the bottle from her after she finished, then said two things to her. "Listen, if you know anyone else in the situation you are, tell me. And, if you're worried that some drug-lord is going to come for you, I have enough room on my ship for you to stay in as long as you need. You don't have to if you don't want to, but I'm offering."
-
She calmed down. "It's too late for me, sadly.." She walked over a car quietly, stepping into it. The distinct smell of explosives hung in the air- CAR BOMB! She slid the keys into the ignition, and turned them horizontally- The car exploded into a fireball, taking the girl with it. It was clear what message Pablo was getting across; 'No one is safe.' The poor girl and her baby died in the car instantly, painlessly, gladly.
-
Steel stared at the burning car in disbelief for a moment, before bursting into an outrage. He storms up to the car, magnetic shields bending the flame around him. "WHAT THE -blam!- JUST HAPPENED?! CAR BOMB? REALLY?! THAT WAS MY LAST WATER DOSAGE TOO!" Steel attached his armor, which he had hidden in a nearby alley. "This runs too damn deep to be some minor ring. Gonna need help ending this. And an EOD squad."
End?

If you wanna form a tactical takedown team for hunting Pablo, i have an ONI Spartan already on his case. He typically resides in the Dojo, and word of his previous engagement in attacking the main drug shipments should have floated around already.
