[b][u]Alternate Earth // NYC // 2021 // Lyra[/u][/b] [i]The day was calm - or at least as calm as NYC gets. Of course, that was bound to change. Lyra had made so many enemies, she couldn't even count. Today, she was going to (hopefully) lessen that number. A rather large brick building - built at least 30 years ago - also just happened to be the HQ of some assholes she was just dying to get rid of. She had not yet acquired any major armor - just a light Kevlar vest. Still though, she was not deterred. The door was a rather thick metal one, and it was dead bolted. This didn't prove to be a problem. There were no guards on the outside, so she didn't need to worry about being seen.[/i] [b]My presence Won't be ignored No, not today[/b] [i]She placed a charge on the door, stepped out of the way, and blew it. Part of the door fragmented into deadly pieces of shrapnel which killed three men. The door itself was blown off its hinges and crushed two men. The last was met with a .50 BMG to the head courtesy of her modified Deagles. All hell broke loose a second later. At least ten people were firing fully automatic weapons - most likely AK-47s or MP5s. They were all sent convulsing in the floor thanks to her electrokinesis. Five were killed by it, the other five with gunshots to the head. She walked through the entrance and down a short hallway. She saw the tip of a gun sticking out from behind the wall to the left at the end of said hallway, so she shot the gun itself to at least disarm him. He ran, and was shot in the back. She, however, didn't see the man behind her who slammed the butt of his gun into the back of her head.[/i] [b]Look down on me Spit in my face You're nothing to me[/b] [i]Dazed, laying on the ground, vision still blurry, she saw his legs and the tip of an assault rifle. It moved out of her sight line, to the top of her head.[/i] [b]Darkened eyes you'll see There is no hope No savior in me[/b] [i]She grabbed the combat knife from her boot and slammed it into his leg. He shot on impulse, but missed her head. Screaming out in pain, he fell to the floor.[/i] [b]Don't walk In my direction Turn the other way[/b] [i]She got up and threw his gun away, aiming her own at his head.[/i] "Seems the scales have been reversed." "[u]Go to hell.[/u]" [i]She slammed her foot down on his chest. It seemed he hadn't seen the gun at first.[/i] "Oh god no... Don't kill me..." [b]And I don't want you And I won't let you think Compromise is near 'Cause it's not near[/b] [i]She pulled the trigger. It seemed more men had rushed to the end of the hallway opposite her. Before they got a shot off, they were all electrocuted. She ran past them, and to the area they seemed to have been protecting; the area where she assumed the leader was. She kicked the door open and immediately shot down two guards. The leader was - obviously - pissed.[/i] "[b]You bitсh-[/b]" [i]A single shot silenced him.[/i] "Here's a little goodbye present." [b]I'm not your friend Won't soothe your soul And in the end You're all dead to me[/b] [i]She chucked a rather large charge - definitely enough to level the building - onto his lifeless corpse. It was set for two minutes; she was out in 30 seconds. When the fireworks started, she was already well away from the area.[/i] [b][u]Dojoville // Present // Lyra[/u][/b] [i]Today was calm, and - at least for now - was going to stay that way. For once, she had no intent upon killing anybody (unless they attacked first, of course). Instead, she just sat on a bench, thinking...
