He tells her, kissing the top of her head.

"The grief would kill me if you did," She said in a grim tone.

"Well I ain't leavin, so there's no need ta worry 'bout it. I wouldn't survive losing you either, Sarah." He replies.

She grabs his hand gently.

He gives her hand a gentle squeeze, smiling a little bit.

She smiles too.

Fionn leans in for a kiss, his eyes fluttering shut as he does so.

She shuts her eyes at she kisses him.

His arms snake around her to pull her close as they kiss.

She pulls back from the kiss. Her eyes had turned purple with fear.

Fionn looks at her. "What's wrong?"

"I just have a weird feeling that I'm about to lose you..."

"Sarah, I swear you ain't going ta lose me." He tells her.

"Fionn.... I wish I could calm that fear. I wish I could believe you. But I just can't bring myself to do it..." She says. She turns away, "Something seems wrong. Very wrong about this."

"About what? What's wrong?" He asks worriedly.

"I don't know if I can trust you... after all you're cheating on your fiancee. She may be dead in our timeline, but still, what if she wasn't. How would Pox feel if she was here, right now, watching us?" Sarah asked.

"If Pox was here, as in she didn't die, then I wouldn't be on this planet. I'd be back with the ol' scavenger corps. An' as for other timelines, those aren't mine ta choose. I had my shot an' I failed." He says with a sigh.

"I'm saying if she all-of-a-sudden found us. I know if I had a fiance that cheated on me, I'd call of the wedding. How would she feel if she found us?"

"If Pox suddnely appeared, it would be from another timeline. Tha' means it ain't my Pox, which means I 'ave no obligation towards 'er. What would you do if another one o' me came outa no where?"

"I honestly would have no idea how to react," She replied.

"You wouldn't leave me for him though, right?"

"No. But me and Pox are two totally different Guardians, Fionn."

"Look at it this way. Even if she magically appeared, I'm with you now. Not her. It wouldn't be the same girl I was engaged to." He takes her hand again.

"Fionn, then explain to me this sinking feeling!"

He shrugs. "Unfounded fear? Sarah, I swear on my life as a Guardian I won't leave you."

"What makes you so sure? What makes me able to trust you? You may have told that to Pox, yet, here you are!"
