S10 Recovery
Rafael, having beaten Malren, but very wounded and still recovering from his injuries using the power of shadow was sitting around under the still intact cherry blossom tree in the Dojo. He stares at its trunk, he had found the name of the woman he loved. His eyes watered, but Rafael fought not to cry. He grieved for his love to be back, but he knew that'd never happen.
Sighing, he places two fingers on the spot of the tree he sees his spouse's name.
"You will never be forgotten, Angie."
He shakes his head again, as his brother, Centrax sits next to him.
"Still miss Angie? Gah. I'm so sorry Raf."
"I know you are but there was nothing we could've done."

About 30 or so meters away from them, a fight breaks out. One of the combatants was a man, a little over 6 feet tall and with short black hair and blue eyes. His armor was nothing special, just some silver combat armor. The other stood at just under six feet tall. She had somewhat long crimson hair and wore jet-black combat armor. A scar on her cheek that was most likely caused by a knife or sword was also apparent, though the fine details couldn't be made out from where the two men were. The fight was over very quickly. He charged with a knife, which she proceeded to grab with her right. Electricity went arcing all around him when her armor made contact with his knife. It wasn't enough to kill though, just to stun. She then kicked him in the stomach. He fell to the ground. She took his own knife and slammed it through his right hand, keeping him on the ground. She then brought a knife of her own out and sent it straight through his right kneecap. Evidently, it was no normal knife. "Now now, my friend... Was that really a good idea?" "Go to hell." "Tsk tsk tsk. Wrong answer." She grabs one of her two Desert Eagles and shoots his left arm. Instead of creating a wound, it blew his limb clean off. Horrific screams of pain echoed through the air. "Try again." "F-Fuсk... you!" "You really don't listen do you? Yknow, if you don't wanna talk, I can make it so you can't..." "Y-you're... Fuсking... Insane." She starts laughing like a maniac. "You think I don't know that? Anyways, I have you your chances. Seems you didn't want them, so..." She pulls out another knife. "...you aren't going to get any now." She kneels down on his chest, forces his mouth open, and slices his tongue off with her knife. "Do you understand your error now?" He laid motionless, but obviously still alive. "Okay then... We're almost done here." She brings out two more blades. They're shorter and cylindrical in shape, leading to a point at the end with small pieces jutting out to the side like an arrowhead. She then sends them through his eyes and rips them right back out. It seemed from their design and her use of them that they were made with one sole purpose in mind. At that point, she took her knife back out of his leg, got up, and started walking away from him. Her demeanor changed from insane sadist to acting as if nothing big or important had happened all day.

Centrax was the only one of the two that turned and looked at the commotion. Rafael was very.. Uncaring of the violence, having much more on his mind.
-
The woman didn't seem inclined to start any more fights at the moment. Of course, she'd have no qualms with fighting back should someone start one with her.
-
Royal approached the two, looking at the cherry blossom tree with interest "Hey everything all right?"
-
"My wife is dead.. Even in knowing already.. it still pains me greatly. It brings more pain then when bevoming enraged." Rafael looks down, moving his hand away from the tree.
-
"Hey, on the bright side... She died a good death."
-
"She did not. She had her life ahead of her. She thought she was finally settling down. She just barely had Derix. She was killed in that same attack that forced me to retreat here in the first place. She wasn't even prepared to fight back." Rafael's voice shows slight anger. "Thanks to Malren. My son doesn't even have a mother now. Thanks to him. I've lost two people who I loved dearly outside of my family."
-
"On the bright side, we killed the son of a bitch!"
-
"I. I killed him. That does not bring either of them back. Angie didn't even have anything to do with that mess. The only reason she died was because she loved me.." "Raf... Raf.. Calm down.." Centrax attempts to stop the looming anger in his brother.
-
"Well having an enemy that goes through dimensions is a risky business. There's going to be someone else."
-
"There won't be another girl. No. I cannot love more." Rafael put this point very solidly. Clearly, he made his mind up. But his softens, rather than increase in the rough, dry nature that it does when he's angry.
-
Royal placed his hand on Raf's shoulder. "If you're not going to love, than let go of her."
-
"Maybe you're right... But even one with a dark, artificial heart such as mine cannot control what they feel, either.." "Keep in mind, Roy. They did not just love one another. They were quite literally linked, bonded you could say on a psychological level. They shared dreams.. Feeling. Emotion. And even more so felt drawn to one another."
-
"Hey he's the one that said, and I quote: 'I'll never love again.' So really what I said was warranted."
-
"That is true. I believe he cannot love anyone else because he'll never fall out of love with Angie."
-
"That's so cliché. No offense, RAF."
-
"Cliché or not, it's true you -blam!-er." "Raf. Don't allow yourself to become enraged, please. For our sake?"
-
"Well than. Love her for who she was. Do not mourn her for her death."
-
Raf's eyes close. Not willing to respond. "He wasn't like this at all after Sarah." Centrax shakes his hand, wrapping an arm around his brother for comfort.
-
"Now who the hell is Sarah?"
-
Edited by Seven: 3/12/2017 6:34:49 AM"First girl he loved. She's dead too. She cheated in him but the day after she "fell" into a wood chipper while I was in her company. Weren't nearly as close as he and Angie were."
-
"See? That just goes to show you can love again... I think.'
-
"Seeing as he didn't love her nearly as much. And he didn't send me after them.. I don't think that's a good way to prove that."
-
"Hence the I think at the end."
-
Centrax shrugs as the still grieving Rafael starts to ignore them.
