Sarah didn’t know about the apartment, but she was focused on not trying to show that she's still afraid.
"S-so, uh, w-what's, what's, your n-name, H-hunt-ter?" She asked, in a nervous tone.

"J-jamie." The Hunter replies, also sounding a tad nervous.

Sarah felt like she was being stabbed, over and over again. Her heart was racing, and she had this urge to run in the opposite direction. "T-that's, that's a n-nice name, Jamie. I'm. I'm. I'm Sarah," She says, shaking.

The Hunter nods slightly, still looking weak and tired. "Thanks, Sarah is a nice name too." Fionn leads them into his apartment. "Jamie, you sound tired. Get some rest. There's a bed an' bathroom upstairs." He informs her. She nods in thanks and heads up the stairs. Fionn's armor dematerializes amd he sits on a couch, gesturing for Sarah to sit beside him.

He hugs her despite her cold wet armor. "I love ya. You know that, right?" He asks.

"Fionn... I'm not sure how long that will last," She admitted.

He cups her cheek, making her look him in the eyes. "Sarah, I know that nothin' can change how I feel for you." She can tell from his eyes he's completely honest.

"Are you sure? Are you positive? Because I know 100% that was Pox. I could tell," She said. She took a deep breath before talking again. "Listen, say I don't have proof, but I'm sure that was her. And I'm not sure what she thinks of me, but I'm pretty sure she isn't happy about us being [i]us[/i]."

"I know it was Pox. And all honesty? I don' care. I'm with you now, Sarah." He kisses her cheek.

She looks deep into Fionn's eyes, and says this, "I have a feeling she's gonna try to get you back. Be aware of that. Heck, she's already got [i]me[/i] feeling guilty. Listen, chess is the game. Checkmate is when either of us give you up. And our feelings, what we hear, and whatever she can manipulate to turn us against each other, are the pawns. Who knows what she's doing. She's probably eavesdropping on us, developing a strategy, and planning to carry it out. She's gonna use my paranoia as an advantage!"

Fionn raises an eyebrow. "Sarah, you need ta calm down a bit. First off, I don' think ya understand: she dosent stand a chance against ya." He gently kisses her, then pulls back. "An' besides, I already made my choice. I choose you, my beutiful Warlock."

Fionn smiles. "Well, I'm guessin' ya don't plan on leavin me alone with our new Hunter friend, so 'ow bout a game o' chess?" He offer.

"Sure!" She says.

Fionn materializes a chess bord and pieces, one side is miniature Fallen with dregs as pawns, Vandals as knighs, Kell as a queen, Sepiks prime as king, archons as bishops and servitors as rooks. The other one is Cabal, with varies ranks as different pieces.

She grins, "Who's going first?"

He grins back. "Ladies first, love."

She moves her pawn, a Psion to square 6H.

Sarah easily beats Fionn, then beats him in a rematch. "Well, I guess I still stuck at chess. So, what should yer reward be, lady Warlock?" He asks playfully.

"Two dates, you pay both times."

He smiles. "Deal."

"You've never shown me the apartment, care to give me a tour?" She asked.

He shrugs. "Sure, though there isn't much to show." He stands up. "We probably shouldn't head upstairs right now, but I'll show you the floor level." Sarah can hear a shower is on upstairs, signaling Pox is likely taking a shower.
