The above picture of general Grant was made in 1902 by combining three different pictures into one. If they could do this at the very start of the 20th century, what makes you think they couldn't "photoshop" the moon landings in 1969? Or contemporary images of the round earth? Only a little over 500 individuals even claim to have entered space since Yuri Gagarin in 1961 a little over 50 years ago.
So let me as you this: what gives you such implicit faith in the things you are shown by sources of authority? You doubt, question, and accuse the the government up and down when it comes to political matters. But as soon as nasa or science come into the picture, the government is somehow infallible and beyond reproach. Why do you have this double standard?
Please answer my above question before asking me a counter question. I'm fine with answering questions, but I want to hear your response to this one first.

Who is the ranking authority on flat earth theory?

Edited by FightinFinn 2-7: 3/20/2017 5:02:43 PMThe real question is why does that look like Jason Statham and is he a time traveler?

Edited by Gandhi 2: 3/20/2017 3:58:29 PMI dunno, I think the Earth's a spheroid because of the astronauts you mentioned reporting that, yes, the Earth is a spheroid. Also, there's some maths that I can't quite remember right now. If ya want, I can link my favourite video about the whole flat Earth thing. It's interesting.

Let me ask you this if the earth is flat. WHO THE -blam!- CARES. It won't effect me or 99% of people so WHY THE HELL SHOULD WE CARE.

You doubt, question, and accuse the the government up and down when it comes to political matters. But as soon as nasa or science come into the picture, the government is somehow infallible and beyond reproach. Why do you have this double standard?
I think we need to believe in something greater than ourselves, be it science, government or religion. So we trust the people in authority to a degree. Then you couple them with science, how can it be wrong? Science is awesome & explains things to us, so science can't be wrong. It is a belief system. We crave having something good & true in our lives. We know the government lies to us, but science can't lie, so it must balance it out. We want it to, so we believe it does. That is how we get the double standard. My question to you is coming from a buddy who served in the military, so forgive me if I screw up anything. We are both hunters & like shooting. I am decent, he went into the military & was trained as a sniper. He can make some crazy long shots, just huge distances. So, he says, that when you shoot at a certain range, you have to use math, I think trigonometry, to factor in wind speed, curvature of the earth, bullet travel speed, gravity, resistance of rhe air, & what not. He also said that a head shot does not enter the front of the head, but drops down from above, entering from the top of the head, which is due to the curvature of our planet being a giant ball. So, with that in mind, how would you explain that? No rush to answer this one Hoss, I figure you may have to do some research, partly just to make sure I did not screw up the info I provided. Any mistakes are on me, I do not have the training he does, but your posts reminded me of the conversation he & I had about it when he was honorably discharged from service a few years ago.

I'm not gonna ask a counter-question, I'm just curious. Are planets other than Earth flat? Is the sun flat?
-
Edited by shell: 3/19/2017 7:19:04 PMWell, yeah, I do think the first moon landing was fake, who do you think put the camera there? BUT you can see the International Space Station with a telescope, now. I'm pretty sure NASA can't Photoshop the sky in real time.

Who is (((they)))?
-
Boo, impersonation.
-
The moon landing was real. JFK was killed by his own party.

Edited by Def_Man: 3/19/2017 4:11:00 PMThere are too many people on this planet to keep a secret like the earth actually being flat. There are people that explore these things all the time, but I haven't seen one flat earther show me a picture of the fricking ice wall!!!! Not even a blatantly fake one!!! Nothing!!! Where's the ice wall?? Where's the evidence of the weather conditions that prevent us from seeing the edge? Why can I fly East from the coast and get to the U.K.?!!! Why does Alaska have 30 days of no sun every year?!!! Answer me!!!!
-
Yuri Gagarin making it to space was staged, it's fake guys
-
The moon landings happened. Deal with it. We are number one.
-
That's a pretty cool image. Wonder what the story behind it is.
-
Pretty easy answer, too many countries venture into space or orbit to keep a "flat earth" secret. It's human nature that we can't keep secrets, and there's way too many people involved to keep said secrets.
-
I've been to space and seen the round earth with my own eyes
-
Why disbelief? Suspending judgement is the rational path. It's silly to believe what you cannot independently confirm. It is equally silly to disbelieve what you cannot independently disprove.

Sees title *photoshopped
I’ll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.
or actually we could have faith in pre-21st century humanity and believe that they didn't photoshop photos with intent of fooling us for unethical intentions
-
Cool story, flatbread.
-
Actually the Earth is flat.
-
This sounds like the Krishnas I know!

I was driving today and I saw a cow.

Potato

Are you suggesting that you know more than NASA?
