If intelligent arguers would develop a little compassion and generosity towards the idiots, the problem with would be solved. I don't know why people feel the need to embarrass and ridicule someone when they're wrong. It's not constructive. A better tactic is trying to understand why the person thinks like they do. Attacking the other person at all costs just shows that your uncomfortable with your own position. If you know you're right, you don't get irrationally upset when someone says your wrong.
