Euphoric recall.
Year 1: Great Sandbox. Broken loot system and in game economy.
Year2: Okay Sandbox. Much improved economy and loot system.
Year 3; Broken Sandbox. Great economy and loot system.
Destiny 2: needs Year Ones Sandbox and Year 3s Economy and loot system.

Well said, except only now do we have decent loot in age of triumph
-
Except the loot system isn't any better. In year 1 it was rewarding. Drops off raid bosses sucked, but exotics were exotic. In year 3, raid drops are better, but perk balance is still atrocious, and exotics are handed away. It doesn't feel rewarding at all.
-
ehhhhhhhhh. Maybe DOn't make it too easy to get stuff
-
Not about easy. About having multiple ways to get things. Year One had both low drop rates and few option to get anything. "Chatterwhite and Shards...."
-
I don't like 3oc Using motes to level stuff. and the drop rates are too high
-
Disagree. The Destiny Grind became a meme for a reason.
-
This game is less grindy than warframe and WoW. Its a meme because you grind for useless stuff
-
No you grind for but progress was due more to luck than effort.
-
That what RNG is. Luck. That was why people played this game, because of that system. Now that everything is just handed to you after you do an activity once, there is no point in playing the game
-
That's not how thes games work. Loot is often RNG. But all progression being left up to luck is poor game design. Most loot based games have a character skill tree that gives the player most of their new abilities in predictable, EXP based manner. With the loot just being the icing on the cake. Destiny made the mistake of having that skill tree hit a wall very early in the game.... the all progression after that coming down to winning pulls at a slot machine. Because the loot was both the icing AND the cake.
-
It was, and most of everyone was happy with that. At least me and everyone else i knew. Up until the end of year 1 when everything was made obsolete my friends and I had almost no problems with how Destiny did things.
-
Forever 29. Is not what you label a loot system you are happy with.
-
Forever 29 wasn't even that bad. So what, you didn't hit max level. That doesn't stop you from beating the raid on hard week after week
-
Twelve raids and only getting only one piece of raid armor is a wall.
-
not at all. Boundary. Luck is a factor in everything. Thats just life.
-
Oh yes it was that bad. I lived through it. Progression walls drive people out of games.
-
It wasn't a wall. Its a boundary. A wall is time gated content.
