Bump. Everything is too easy to get. Exotic engrams are nothing more than infusion fuel till you hit 400 then they are just exotic shards.
Nightfall used to be exciting and fun - now they are just another strike.
There is nothing left that is truly hard to get.

Now you have to finish weekly challenges on raids to get the new exotics. So, what are you complaining about? You wanted it to be more difficult.

I don't miss the material grinding/farming but I do miss the farming for really good weapons and armor. I did Crota 3 times a week - every week trying to get Black Hammer. Was great when I finally got it - made me want keep raiding. It's not like that today. I had every WoM weapon almost immediately. Same for exotics - grinding for Gally and Ice Breaker was fun. Then grinding to have one for each character. Now you pop 3oC or just buy one from kiosk. I do like some of the new quests though (spindle, outbreak). I hope the new weekly raids just don't give everything away after a couple of runs. Old raids will be fun while there is something to grind for - after you get everything it becomes just old content. Agree w you that main problem is lack of onew content - but making everything easy to get makes the content become old faster. I am not hating on Destiny - check how many hours I have played. Just hoping D2 doesn't continue the "make everything easy" trend.

Exactly! Everything is way too easy to get. This game was special because it was truly a FPS lootbased grind. Now its just a FPS with a 2 week long grind in the way.

I don't understand how you could miss spending 2 hours a day running in a circle in patrol trying to get materials from chests. How could you possibly consider that enjoyable?

Edited by bFLY: 3/26/2017 12:55:23 AMI don't think they miss the grind, I think they miss feeling like special Snowflakes. If certain gear is hard to get that means fewer people will have it, which means that the people who do have it get to feel special. People complained about the grind, so Bungie lessened it, so now everyone has everything and nobody gets to be special anymore. That's the real issue here. The only people who still get to be snowflakes are the handful of trials tryhards, they get to feel special, and we've seen how they act because of it lol

Perfectly put! Thank you

its not enjoyable lol. But it made the game worth playing. You farmed because there was an end goal. Now everything is handed to you when you give no effort to try and get it.

I think the grind times are perfect now. The only thing is lack of content and we all now know that was due to the inefficiency of the game engine they created which made it take months for minor expansions. It's the sole reason they had to cut the game apart and sell it as expansions. That is why they created a new game engine for Destiny 2 which should allow for more content with a faster turn around on new content. If destiny 2 has more content, the grind level is fine as it is.

actually, most of their design team quit a year before the deadline for Destiny. They had to scratch most of what they had and build from the ground up. Which is why Destiny had no story and seemed empty and not completed.

Edited by Shaft62702: 3/25/2017 10:39:34 PMIt wasn't the design team, it was the writer and that's because the exec's didn't like the story. That's why the game had no real story but the problem with the engine is totally separate. Hopefully they did fire the game engine team though too because I really think that effected the longevity of this game. Plus, it forced bungie to have to create a new engine for destiny 2.
