I'm thinking they were just fed up with all the leaks during the AoT reveals tbh but I do have to hand it to them keeping the whole community clawing at every word and hint.

This is how they've always been since I can remember. It might have been slightly influenced by leaks, but they've always been somewhat unpredictable.
