The hype isn't there for me, too much damage was done that it is unforgettable. I'm waiting to see if they actually put some real effort in making a game when D2 is released. Yeah, a lot of you are hyped but will be majorly disappointed if it's another D1. This game doesn't need to be another D1. It needs to be a hell of a lot more then what this company has offered and PvP needs to stop being this companies main focus. Especially knowing that this game is way beyond on what the current sandbox is capable of handling. If D2 doesn't have planets that are actually an open world like Bungie clamed before Destiny was released in E3. It's not worth buying. If PvP adjustments are not separate from PvE in some form. It's not worth buying. If any of the sandbox that is currently nerfing this entry game is going to be in D2. It's not worth buying. If gamer's have to wait for 3 year for basic things that are added to a game before it's released. It's not worth buying. If light level still has no purpose in PVE. It's not worth buying. If Tess is Bungie's only offer as a vendor that has been the only vendor relavent for almost 3 years. It's not worth buying. This game has so much potential and if these things are still a thing in D2. Once again Bungie will have shown how they have falid to make a game that many hoped for and been asking for for almost 3 years now. They have the money and manpower. Lets wait and see if they have actually used that talent that the devs actually have or if the higher ups are still holding them back.

  • You have some good points but I can think of much worse ways to spend $59. My only gripes are more personal in nature...I remember spending long winter weekends working to get my void crucible kills...which aren't easy for a newcomer to modern video games. Two to the morgue and frustration for 3 days. Took me that long, and I was so proud of that Bad Juju or Invective, can't remember which one it was for lol. Then they just gave it away. No offense to those that could just buy it, not your fault. But I've grown full addict now. I don't see an escape for me....I'm Pookie at this point. Kate Upton could ask me out on release day and Id call it in sick

  • Yeah I see where you are coming from. I thought the bounty was for thorn that you needed the void kills in PvP. Like you said, it's been a while. When Destiny was released things to me were more of a challenge. I made this statement already but it's what this company said. Don't remember who stated it, but it was along the lines of that not all gamer's will acquired all the rewards in this game. I'm assuming they were referring to the weapons. Back then the RNG was rough, that all change when gamers really started complaining about not getting certain rewards. IMO I think this company took the wrong route in making everything easily accessible and realized they made a mistake by doing so. That a lone lead to certain unnecessary changes. Although, adding things like private matches and SRL changed up the norm so gamers could get a break from it.

  • Interesting, you have no idea on when I started playing the game or how long. So you assumed that what you said is a fact. The only funny thing about your statement is you assuming something that you know nothing about. I'll never understand people like you and don't want to either when they look foolish.

Not when it's capped long before you reach max. The added light levels are just added light level and nothing more. I'd like to see that Changed.

  • My opinion is mine, and how you see it is on you. Trying to tell someone to stop doing something they believe in is not your decision. I'm not telling you to do anything and with all do respect, you shouldn't either.

My feelings are in line with the poster you replied to. I've never loved and hated a game so much. I really liked the original game, I didn't mind the first nerf, but then the lack of management and shortsighted decisions ruined it. I remained optimistic, because I wanted to enjoy it. But then I found myself just wanting to enjoy the game without actually enjoying it. Bungie proved that they can ruin anything they want in their game (as they should). But as Destiny 1 is finishing up (I still see them ruining something else before D2), I've lost my optimism. Which is about 180 degrees opposite from 2 1/2 years ago.

  • I'm not here to change anyone's mind whether they should play or not or buy D2 or not, that's their prerogative. I'm only stating what I have seen and would like to see changed. I like Destiny, but as I stated, there is damage that Is unforgettable and some that is still their going on 3 years later. This game can become something a lot more then it is, but that depends on this company.

  • This community has only been focusing on only one side of this game and to me that is part of the problem. their actions play a part in all of this and it's a shame that a lot of them don't see what they have actually done. If this community would work together and look at this game as it was meant to be, things would be a lot better then they are now. The concept of this game is what keeps the interest in most but crucible is what has taken over. I would only hope that D2 is not just PvP focused.

  • You will board a transport with basic green equipment and be droped in the city (taken from CoD resources). You will fight for days in the ruins of the city, beneath the Traveller against Cabal (three different models). It will be CoD, CoD and more CoD. No Jupiter moons etc.

  • Good points. Nice to read you still have hope. Tomorrow I'll be counting the playership. Watching the iceberg and listening to the violins fade to black. I know from a reliable source, Bungie history itself, they can't make anything they promise, except a lot of money from sheep! And, there are a lot of sheep here, an Optometrists dream...
