And people with your attitude (easily hyped up and easily manipulated people) are the reason developers make games with little effort put into them. They just think, "why bother making a good game when we can put out a simple poster and immediately get people hyped up to buy it?"

Do you have any idea what it actually takes to make a video game? To say little effort went into destiny is about as ignorant of a thing as a person can say! I'm not saying it was a perfect game. I doubt d2 will be perfect either. I have yet to play a game I would describe that way. And if I did, it would be subjective, as what is perfect to one person is likely not prefect to the next. That said.... make a working and decent looking version of centipede in unity before you talk to me about how little effort they put into destiny. Better yet, attempt the destiny orbit screen by yourself. Just the orbit screen. See how "little" effort that takes. If your really feeling feisty, why don't you make an inventory ui, and a phone app that will link to it, so you can control your inventory from your phone in game seamlessly. As someone learning game design in my free time, I can promise you that there is not a single piece of this game that took little effort. The whole game was a pretty big experiment to begin with. It's had ups and downs. But end of the day, I've gotten my money's worth in entertainment out of it. And I'm glad that bungie even gives a shit enough to ask for player feedback. They can't plausibly give every poster on the forums what they want. But the fact that they even give enough of a shit that the forum exists for this purpose, in spite of how such a large portion the community uses such a lack of... shall we say tact... when communicating their thoughts to bungie....it's testimony that they want to make something that people enjoy. Because at the end of the day, no customers=no bungie.

  • I think it's very obvious what I meant. Little effort compared to other video games. Also, I was referring more to the story than anything else.

  • Really... I don't see your logic. If they are willing to put out a crap product because their fans a excited, that's their problem not mine.

  • Too much faith in a company is never a good thing. It does nothing but encourage laziness and hurts everyone who buys the game. If it doesn't affect you, that's great. But if we want to better this game then we need to tell bungie what they did wrong instead of mindlessly buying a game and showing them they can sell us anything.

As I said before, you are entitled to your opinion. I just don't agree or understand your outlook. I hope you finds a way to enjoy this game again guardian. 🖖

  • It's called being optimistic and not crushing others' spirits. It helps make life worth living, and not lame and boring.

  • Yes; but being so optimistic that you will support them because if a single picture is not healthy for the game. It's ok to be critical about things you like.

  • See now your pushing that negativity on us. If I choose to look forward to a game, regardless of the other games in the series, then I have every right to be excited. A game is a game no matter who makes it. I enjoyed D1 enough to know I'll enjoy D2. That's my opinion and based off of that opinion, I'm buying D2.

  • I never said you didn't have the right. But mindlessly following a company and buying their game every time gives them no motivation to fix their mistakes. Most people on this forum love destiny. But always hyping up and buying content is not healthy for the game. People are critical because they want to improve the game for everyone.

  • Sure, D1 had it's issues. But no one can deny it was one fun game

Exactly. And I meant that Bungie learned from Vanilla/TDB/HoW by not making weapons obsolete.
