Excited for Destiny 2 but I feel like they need to change the vibes of their trailers, ever since Crotas End Expansion the trailers are literally catered to 12 year olds....... it gives the same vibes as your typical CoD dlc/live action trailers, what happened to the godly trailers and teasers they had for Destiny 1? The 1st teaser for Destiny back in 2013 was way better imo let alone Law of the Jungle trailer puts this one to shame but it's just my opinion

I have to say it's great to see a trailer and I thought it was pretty good. But you have a point. I would prefer a tone similar to the film Aliens, where it was pretty grim and serious but there was comic respite from characters like Bill Paxton as Hudson. At the moment it feels a little like they are trying to emulate Borderlands, which I personally found a bit grating and annoying. Don't get me wrong, Cayde is great (not in Borderlands annoyance territory yet), but he needs to be balanced out by a more serious and epic tone from else where in the story. Halo would of course be a great example of how they got it right before with Guilty Spark, I hope they get the balance right this time. Oh and "we're in the pipe, five by five".

VENUS BABY! VENUS!

Its a teaser, not a trailer

Still I thought the 1st Destiny teaser was better imo

I get where you're coming from, but I disagree. That's an awesome trailer. I want more personality in destiny.
-
The original trailors had personality, this is pandering and uninspired.
-
Honestly, I disagree. I think one of the (many) reasons there was a backlash against Vanilla Destiny was because it was marketed and hyped as this super serious, epic thing. The live action trailer they released right before the game launched and reprised prior to TTK captures the spirit of Destiny much better, which is mainly goofing off with your friends. Different strokes for different folks, of course. FWIW, I'm 30 and the teaser made me chuckle.

Could you shut up plz why don't you make your own game the way you want it ......

Why don't you suck bungie's d lol it's my opinion

It's all good lol

I disagree. I think they've had a great balance. Law of the Jungle was a serious one while the live action with the three guardians was not. TTK had a serious one that showed Oryx and then a silly one with the three Guardians. I'm guessing we'll get another epic one as the days go on. It's still very, very early.

I agree. The one thing that they have changed since the very beginning of Destiny is that they've said this isn't a story about death but about life. Yes, there have been serious and dire moments in the world of Destiny, but your adventure as a guardian is about exploration and comradery and taking back humanity. Basically laughing in the face of danger. That's the message they've advertised since pre-launch.

Hope
-
Precisely. Humanity simply doesn't come back from the fall of the golden age without hope. Bungie has changed a lot of things. But the underlying theme of hope isn't one of them.

Edited by Salt: 3/28/2017 7:58:08 PMIt's not even about balance, I think they shouldn't make trailers like that at all imo, But obviously everyone has different preferences
