To be honest it tells us wayyyy more than most "teasers".

Not really. CoD tries to look dark or look likes it has real emotion and never does. The trailer doesn't represent the game, you realize this right? It is a teaser for a teaser, and I think it shows what kind of character cayde is. He uses humor to make light of a scary situation and to make the absurdity of what's happening easier to take. It is effective, in my opinion.

This is to hype up the trailer. The trailer will give us a better look at the game and I feel like it will have a darker feel. These guys made halo, remember that.

Initially they made it seem so horrible that the darkness tried to take over the city & there was so much dread in the first game. Now Cayde just causally walks into the battlefield, city on fire, giant cabal destroying the tower, but...comedy is the tone
