Not really. CoD tries to look dark or look likes it has real emotion and never does. The trailer doesn't represent the game, you realize this right? It is a teaser for a teaser, and I think it shows what kind of character cayde is. He uses humor to make light of a scary situation and to make the absurdity of what's happening easier to take. It is effective, in my opinion.
