Blargh. 'Look at us being all snarky and cool'. Expectations:
Zero significant engine/graphical upgrades
Story to still be trope and filler heavy
The cabal do stuff, nothing around the traveler
3/6 coop: raids still ridiculously catered to min/maxing uber nerds only, strikes for three only.
Reuse of assets, locations et al.
Basically a lackluster expansion sold as a full game.
I'll be fine with Horizon, Zelda and mass effect for now thank you.
I'll be fine with Horizon, Zelda and mass effect for now thank you.
For now, but D2 isn't out for like half a year. Do you really think those will have the same appeal then? Destiny's replayability is what sets it apart from other games.
-
Yeah, but this time round i'm wiser: replayability goes out the window if I know it's just going to be pvp, meta and recycled sp content. They're not fooling me again!
-
How do you pull this all from a teaser trailer that didn't even show gameplay? Unless you've already played the game. Have you? No? Then please hold your cynical little opinion until we actually have some concrete details to go off of besides the Cabal attack the City.
-
Yeah true. I'm very cynical about it all. That way, I can marginally enjoy playing it maybe if they actually make more effort than just the pvp meta. We'll see.

Sorry but mass effect is almost more of a letdown than no mans sky

Yup. Destruction of the best franchise of last gen. Literally clean slated through a macguffin and adding basically nothing new. Citadel, 2 new races and the bugs are absolutely atrocious. Story is crap also. When I'm done with horizon and Zelda it'll be available on the cheap. The new planescape might take precedence still though.
-
Not only that but it looks like its the cabal dlc that they cut from Destiny 1.
-
Shut up, lethalviper.

Pretty much yeah. Typical bungie hyping of storytelling through environments without time (or effort) to explain, and for ever cutting stuff because of their dev bottlenecks. House of wolves was already jumping the shark and wasn't even paying attention to any of the story for iron. Something about SIVA reviving all the old content. Sooooo lame (just like the taken) The entire potential of the franchise has been reduced to CoD with magic and a so so coop. Completed first three raids, couldn't be bothered with the others. Too many gimpy mechanics to keep up with the player base.
