Building up: Infinite Corp
As they(you) were invited once again to castle Coldbourne, the same car drove into the round about in front of the dojo's steps for pick up. Whether it was for pay, or for adventure, they still got into the dark black Bentley that seemed to have tires meant for serious terrain. The dark black transport drove out of dojoville and up the north road, which would lead them into the Ko-Rudo mountains, where Alex Coldbourne and his new vigilante/like corporation was established. As the dry dojo mountains turned into the tall and cold Ko-rudo mountains, they couldn't help but notice the difference in the journey. The road up to the castle was significantly wider, and there was a large metal overhang of a guard which prevented snow from blowing on to the road. As the car drove up they couldn't help but notice the dozens of workers that were building this project.
The car continued to make its way through the now significantly safer roads and eventually it stopped in a once crowded path which had now been cleared and terraformed to be a large plateau. Ahead of the plateau was a long stone bridge that looked as if it had been reinforced with steel.
As they got out of the car they also noticed hundreds of people building around the large castle ahead. They were building homes into the sides of the mountains and large platforms that were held up with solid steel beams that would easily withstand the cold. The homes were quaint and nice, and almost looked old in design. But the tech, which involved cranes and quadcopters which were moving materials in proved that they were likely only this way for show.
Coldbourne castle, just by looking at it, was significantly warmer to look at. The once frozen over and beat up castle was now completely refurbished. All of the ice was taken off and the towers colour was a beautiful grey/blue which lead up to the brown roofed towers. The large door had seemed to been replaced with a fine wood and reinforced with steel bars. There was warm light coming from the French windows that lined across sections of the main building and towers.
To say the least, the place was fantastic.
But, that didn't stop them from remembering why they were here. Alex had a job for them, and by looking at the area around them, they knew he could afford it.

Arianna only smiled, as Achreíos only exited from underneath her seat and looked over at Falk, as the pine marten simply retreated to his host's lap afterwards. Ari: "And this is Achreíos. My dæmon." Ach: "How many times have I told you that people don't know what dæmon's are? Hmph." Arianna simply picked up Alex's keys and waved them in front of his face, smirking as she did so.

"I've seen just about everything these days. So I'm not surprised!" Falk said with a grin. Alex took the keys with a pout. He started up the engine, and the car drove off. The group made their way across the gellidius and to the coast, where they boarded a small boat that would get them across the sea and to the gellidius. The boat was a fishermans, that much was certain, and it had seen better days as well. But, it was still sea worthy. It's new crew took the boat out onto the dark blue sea of the dekeshi where they would have to travel north west to reach the isles. But, this also left everyone with a bit Of time to kill.
*cough!* character development*cough!*

talk to alex or Falk lol
-
"So, Alex...Falk." Arianna broke the silence as she looked at both of the two men, light blue eyes flickering at both of their figures as she lightly smiled at each. She had crossed her hands over her lap, her voice laced with a comforting, likable tone. "What's been going on with both of you? I know you've been working on the whole castle thing, Alex - but Falk, well...we've never met, heh."
-
"Besides hunting down a god of time a few weeks ago? Not much." Falk said. "You got your leg fixed, that's something." Alex commented. "Oh, right! Almost forgot about that. Guess I've gotten used to it pretty quick." Falk shook his left leg. He looked to Arianna to clarify. "Last September I had a serious injury to my leg. Just a week ago I got surgery for a biotic. Things pretty handy. More handy then a cane, anyways."
-
"God of time? I need to catch up - all I've done is kill a few Great Ones, that's it. Y'know, I bet you'd like to visit a Great One's plain of existence, Falk. You just seem like the type to want to venture into the Nightmare - and Y'know, not get yourself killed." Arianna nodded over to the Deity - she seemed to underestimate Alex, but in a friendlier manner.
-
Alex furrowed his brow at the intention while Falk was flattered. "Ha! Well, I haven't exactly been lucky before with the whole 'death' issue. So I wouldn't bank on it." Falk said humbly. "Actually, one might say you've been the luckiest ass around Falk!" Alex claimed. "Ya. Maybe." Falk gruffly commented. The boat continued to sail, and eventually a large island came into view. "Land ho!" Alex let out as he saw it. Eventually the boat made its way onto the docks of the island... There was a massive stone wall which was in front of the packed docks. There were all sorts of boats. Old ones, new ones, small ones and big ones. The docks were packed with people, most of which were tall and burly in their builds with blond hair as far as the eye could see. They all had massive guns on their backs as well, which seemed odd when they had swords on their hips to add to it. The air smelled of salt and sea and the day was a crisp blue. As the group stepped off their boat they were able to see the wall ahead of them, and past it to the large city that made its way across a large hill. "Ladies and gents..." alex started. "Welcome to the greatest city on the Celtic isles. Ragnarok." "Holy crap..." Falk said under his breath as he took in the sight.
-
Edited by Orn: 4/7/2017 3:00:25 AM"Huh...they named their greatest city after a period of apocalyptic times in Norse mythology...that's certainly a first, but beautiful nonetheless." Arianna silently stared upon the citizens, their weaponry and their swords, and shuddered a little before looking back at her companions as they made their way to the city. "So we're off to negotiate with these guys, if I remember correctly...should we go ahead and get moving towards wherever their leaders may be?"
-
"Ya. That sounds about right Ari." Alex called Arianna. "No point in wasting time then. Let's get to it."
Will make a quest post for you in a bit
A certain person had exited the vehicle, It was a handsome male with combed back hair that was the shade of strawberry blonde, which incidentally revealed his ocean blue eyes. He must have stood at 6'1, not counting the armor he had on. He primarily had on a Long Gambeson that had bear fur at the hem and a rather large pouch on a sling. Mostly for aesthetic purposes, then starting at the collarbone was vegetated leather which ended at his lower ribcage. Underneath the leather armor was chainmail sewn on the quilted gambeson itself, which reached all the way down to the knees. Finally there was the gambeson itself, which was studded. His shoulder pads were of a Damascus steel plate which effectively protected his shoulders, but left his elbows and armpits exposed. Only covered by the studded gambeson. To match the shoulder pads he had of steel bracers, his hands covered by leather gloves. One of which held a 1.8 meter staff in hand with multiple ferrules on each end, it was a mix of oak and rattan wood. Most likely to prevent splitting and strike harder with each blow. His ceramic kneepads were covered by the gambeson, but his boots were visible. Plate covering down to the ankle, the rest being vegetated leather. The man known as Cirran-Cirraca Xanthus had approached the entrance.
-
a witcher??

also, really good character description man! Will you need one for alex though? I believe I have already introduced him to you.
The massive door's steel bars began to rise up as he approached the entrance. Then, doors opened wide for him. As the doors opened he was able to look inside and see dozens of people bustling about. They all had jobs to do, that was clear. It took a little more observation for the blond man to see that this was actually a throne room, turned into an office. He looked ahead and saw the white haired, pale skinned and blue eyed Alex Coldbourne sitting in his throne. He was talking to a shorter man with gelled back black hair, who seemed to be writing things down.
-
Not quite. Xanthus is a Sorcerer, who killed a Witcher for this gear. He's from the Witcher universe, just not a Witcher. And it'd be nice if you did provide a description.
The 136 year old Sorcerer took a look around the renovated throne room with mild disgust. It seemed these people had no care for their forefathers work upon this castle, at least that'd what he thought. Nonetheless he straightened his look and walked towards the throne itself, the Quarterstaff tapping on the ground, echoing with each tap as he approached. Xanthus had stopped short of the throne, about a couple meters away. "I received news that this one wishes to offer me a job? Yet this place desecrates what forefathers have done to this place and so on."
-
Alex looked away from the man with the tablet and raised an eyebrow to the man who stood in his hall. Oh jeez...an intellectual douche bag he thought to himself. He stood up from his throne, and his entire figure was revealed. His face was edged as he hand high cheek bones and a sharp jaw. His noise was smooth and not too large for his face. He had light blue eyes and white shaggy hair that almost covered them as he brushed his hair out of the way to get a look at the man ahead of him. He wore a long white fur coat that had a white wolf pelt around the collar. He wore a black fitting piece of armour on his chest and dark black pants to compliment them, along with black shoes that looked built for the snow. He walked towards the newcomer, sighing heavily as he did so. He couldn't help but break the feeling that he really wasn't gunna like this guy... "Pretty sure a man can do whatever the hell he wants when he gets to live in his child hood home!" He exclaimed to Xanthus.
-
"Yes, if your childhood involved pillaging a castle with your fellow inbred heathens. I can see how." The mage said back with snark as he sighed, gripping the staff as his eyes stared right at the Deity. Xanthus had a weathered and jaded look to him, it was apparent he had experienced many things. "Might you tell me why I was invited here, in some bizarre carriage nonetheless? I suppose this reminds me of Kaer Trolde, but that's not the point. Speak your intentions."
-
Alex now really didn't like this guy. He reminded him of someone that he wouldn't speak of to such an asshat. But, the man looked useful. "Ya. I have a job for you. Unless you ain't done criticizing it for its wallpaper yet." Alex answered sarcastically.
-
"Actually, I will criticize the wallpaper. It's tacky as hell. More than this damned Witcher's armor..." He had remarked, pulling on the fur collar which had revealed a minor rash. "Damned things giving me a rash, I have no clue how that Witcher could wear it...But nonetheless, a job you say? I would like some information, as I'd rather not read peoples minds to do so."
-
"Ya know, I sort of had a feeling you could read minds as you walked in here." Alex admitted. "It takes a special kind of prick to have the ability to read minds." After Alex's insult, he walked over to his left towards an oak wood door. "C'mon. In here." He said as he opened it.
-
"All Sorcerers and Sorceresses can read minds. Though I wouldn't expect you to know that, you probably know as much as a peasant farmer." He walked into the door, awaiting whatever it is.
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 4/1/2017 3:26:25 PM"Sorry. Hard to know a lot about a basically extinct breed of the human species." Alex decisively rebutted. As Xanthus entered the room he saw a line of computers on the back wall and a large table that seemed to be projecting a map of the world of Tatakai.
-
"There's a good reason why mages are sterile." Xanthus took a good look around the room, waiting for the Deity to talk.
-
"Mmmmmm. Right." Alex said as he tapped the floating projection of the world. The world spun around then zoomed in on the City labeled "Teluria." "Alright. Here's the plan. We need to go into the city and recruit a tech expert and scientist known as Helix. Sounds simple, right? Well not really. As soon as I was planning to go and pick him up he disappeared without a trace. The police report it as a kidnapping so I wouldn't doubt it. You and I need to go into Teluria and find him. I'm sure it'll be easy for a smartass such as yourself?"
-
Xanthus sighed. "Fine, I'll see what I can do. Though if you wanted to track someone down then hire a damned Witcher. Where is this Teluria anyways?"
-
"In the ollimund region. Their forces took a beating with the Twilight fiasco so they haven't been able to get a handle on a lot of things. I'm hoping this is a first step for use to be allied with em, so I'm coming with you."
-
"The what now?" He had asked, reaching into his bag and producing a bottle that of which let a faint glow of purple. He opened it, letting out a bizarre aroma of oranges and old books. Xanthus then drank the potion.
-
"The...okay forget it. You and I are on a man hunt in an overpopulated as all hell city. You're getting paid. You in or not?"
-
"Depends on how I'm getting paid. But nonetheless I might as well accept, I don't have anything better to do. At least I'm not some conniving bitch who's trying to control everyone like a certain group...." Xanthus had said, referring to the Lodge of Sorceresses in particular. He wasn't a druid, but he did have some form of disdain for sorceresses. "Might I open a portal for us? It'll make the trip faster."
