"How good are ya?" Alex asked. He took out a small leather bag from his jacket pocket, and took out a shiny coin from its hold.
"Can you shoot on a dime?" He challenged her.

Within the blink of an eye her bow was fully drawn and the arrow fired, which imbedded itself in the coin and pierced it to the wall. She chuckled and raised her eyebrow at deity. "My master trained me Very well."
-
"WHOO!" Alex let out as he eyed the coin in the wall. He turned back to Sera, and nodded. "Was he GOD perchance?" He asked her as a joke.
-
"She actually, ever heard of Artemis? She was in the Holy Core that trained me, which was about for 10 years by the way." She stood up and stretched, and put the bow in her back.
-
"Ohhhhhhh. It was Arty? Huh. Shoulda known." Alex said almost to himself, as if he and her were old friends. "Whelp! Guess it's better to be trained by a "sort of god" for ten years rather then being, ya know, dead."
-
"Well uh....We were dead. I was trained in the afterlife Alex, not on this plane."
-
"Ohhhhh ya. Right. Speaking of planes!" Alex interrupted himself as he threw a bag on the floor towards Sera. "We've reached our stop!" He said as he picked up his own bag.
-
She rotated her back and walked to the end of the plane, and Alex noticed slits cut into her armor. "Just say when."
-
"Sure thing speedy." He called her as he walked beside her. There was a small button on the wall, and he hovered his hand over it. "WHEN!" He yelled as he pressed it. Suddenly the entire back of the plane opened up to the cloudy sky the plane flew above. The air pressure sent both of them flying out of the back of the plane and into the sky, and Sera could hear Alex yelling and shouting in excitement as both of them began to start falling through the days sky.
-
Suddenly wings of white and gold sprouted from her back, and she soared through the air with grace and agility next to Alex.
-
Alex pointed his head downwards to the clouds and positioned his body like a pencil. He gained more and more speed as the two passed the clouds and below them. There, Sera saw fields of green as far as she could see. Alex continued to dive downwards, his speed increasing pass terminal velocity at this point. He had his hand on a string attached to his bag, and he clenched it and pulled as the ground got close enough. A parachute ejected out of his bag, and he slowed significantly. Then, he began to glide towards the ground.
-
Sera flapped her wings and slowed her decent, then brought herself to a glide and landed on the ground. Her wings glowed bright and disappeared, and she rotated her back again and sighed.
-
Alex landed on the ground shortly afterwards beside her. The parachute went limp as he touched the grass of the wide green flatland. He unclipped his bag and let it drop to the ground. He stretched his arms wide and looked around with a big smile on his face. "Oh, MAN! That was definitely on the top ten list of best things I've done. That's next to whale hunting with a sub and fighting a dragon, while I'm on its back, while it's flying."
-
"Damn, I take it you did that with my father? You guys did some crazy shit huh?"
-
"Ohhhhhh you don't even know the half of it Speedy." Alex said as he knelt down and pulled his bag off his shoulder. "Alright. I got some stuff here for us." He said as he put his hand into the bag. He pulled out two dark black pistols. The barrels were long and thin, while the handle led to a small magazine which inserted itself into the gun. He tossed one over to Sera as he stood back up. "You know what these are?" He asked her as he held his gun in his hand.
-
She caught the gun and twirled it, then looked down the sights. "A gun obviously, although I don't understand why I need it when I have my bow."
-
"WRONG!" Alex declared. He held his own gun up with his right hand and pointed at it with his left. "THIS! Is a tranquilizer pistol. Incredibly useful, and NON-LETHAL."
-
"My shots can be non lethal, so I again don't understand why I need it."
-
"Well...when we are dealing with who I think we are. I would prefer if they were unharmed as well." Alex said. "Did you dad tell you about that clan he was apart of as a child? The one he was born into and escaped?"
-
"Some parts, but he never explained the whole thing. It hurt him to talk about it, why?"
-
"Well. I'm not gunna embellish if he didn't tell you anything. But these people are masters of stealth and adept in close combat as well as ranged. They are the only ones I know who could be behind the kidnappings and the killings of my group. Also, all of them are children."
-
She let out a sigh and her arm fell to her side, clearly distraught. "Of course it's children...." Sera was still young, and the idea of fighting kids younger then her didn't sit well within the young teens mind.
-
"Ya. Some are probably just as old as you at the max. It's sadistic that's for damn sure." Alex brought out his phone and looked at its screen. "Alright. We're gunna head up north where one of my camps are. We'll check the situation there. You ready?"
-
"Yeah, lead the way Alex." She was still worried about fighting kids, but remembered her training and steeled herself.
-
After the two walked for thirty minutes they both saw an encampment on the field. The two arrived there, were Alex was immediately met with salutes. The camp was quaint, and had a fire in the centre with green square tents surrounding it. There was a large one at the head of the camp, and alex walked into said tent with Sera. Inside was a small war table with a variety of markers on it. There was also a shorter man with pale skin and black hair. He saluted as Alex entered. "Sir!" He let out. "Calm down Hendricks." Alex replied Which looked to calm the man down a bit. "Sir. It's good to see you here. Who's this?he asked Sera.
-
"One of the best shots you'll ever meet. Names Sera Nightingale, daughter of Zane."
