"Ohhhhhh you don't even know the half of it Speedy." Alex said as he knelt down and pulled his bag off his shoulder.
"Alright. I got some stuff here for us." He said as he put his hand into the bag. He pulled out two dark black pistols. The barrels were long and thin, while the handle led to a small magazine which inserted itself into the gun. He tossed one over to Sera as he stood back up.
"You know what these are?" He asked her as he held his gun in his hand.

She caught the gun and twirled it, then looked down the sights. "A gun obviously, although I don't understand why I need it when I have my bow."
-
"WRONG!" Alex declared. He held his own gun up with his right hand and pointed at it with his left. "THIS! Is a tranquilizer pistol. Incredibly useful, and NON-LETHAL."
-
"My shots can be non lethal, so I again don't understand why I need it."
-
"Well...when we are dealing with who I think we are. I would prefer if they were unharmed as well." Alex said. "Did you dad tell you about that clan he was apart of as a child? The one he was born into and escaped?"
-
"Some parts, but he never explained the whole thing. It hurt him to talk about it, why?"
-
"Well. I'm not gunna embellish if he didn't tell you anything. But these people are masters of stealth and adept in close combat as well as ranged. They are the only ones I know who could be behind the kidnappings and the killings of my group. Also, all of them are children."
-
She let out a sigh and her arm fell to her side, clearly distraught. "Of course it's children...." Sera was still young, and the idea of fighting kids younger then her didn't sit well within the young teens mind.
-
"Ya. Some are probably just as old as you at the max. It's sadistic that's for damn sure." Alex brought out his phone and looked at its screen. "Alright. We're gunna head up north where one of my camps are. We'll check the situation there. You ready?"
-
"Yeah, lead the way Alex." She was still worried about fighting kids, but remembered her training and steeled herself.
-
After the two walked for thirty minutes they both saw an encampment on the field. The two arrived there, were Alex was immediately met with salutes. The camp was quaint, and had a fire in the centre with green square tents surrounding it. There was a large one at the head of the camp, and alex walked into said tent with Sera. Inside was a small war table with a variety of markers on it. There was also a shorter man with pale skin and black hair. He saluted as Alex entered. "Sir!" He let out. "Calm down Hendricks." Alex replied Which looked to calm the man down a bit. "Sir. It's good to see you here. Who's this?he asked Sera.
-
"One of the best shots you'll ever meet. Names Sera Nightingale, daughter of Zane."
-
"Ha! Cocky too, apparantly! Good to have ya." "Alright Hendrickson. What's going on?" Alex asked. "Well. All of our shipments. Whether it was guns, food etc have gone missing. We don't know where. Our scouts haven't reported back, and we found one of em dead. Someone's targeting us in this region and we're in the dark on who it is!" "Do we got any leads?" "Ya. One. Shortly after we found the scouts we got reports of strange people entering a town nearby. It's called Planehaven."
-
"Strange people, can you elaborate please? How were they out of the ordinary?"
-
"Well they were kids for starters. They looked like they were apart of some cult apparently with black robes and all." The military man explained. "Shit." Alex said. "This has trap written all over it."
-
"If you've got any men over there, tell them to withdraw immediately. Alex and I will handle this."
-
"Already done ma'm." Hendrickson said. "As soon as these things started happening we pulled out. We didn't want to be the cause of civilian deaths." "Smart move Hendrickson." Alex complimented. "C'mon Sera. Let's head into the town and investigate."
-
"After you Alex, let's get this done yeah?"
-
The two exited the tent and made the trek towards town. The town was quaint. It had wooden roadways into wooden buildings. There were at least three dozen homes, each similar in design with a typical log cabin look. There was a two story building, the inn of course. The town itself was filled with people. The two made their way past a bustling market square as they looked around the bright and bustling town. "Wow. One might think that these people have no idea they've been breached by child soldiers..." alex said sarcastically to Sera.

-
"Good thinking. We should stay on our guard." Alex complemented. "We should check on the Inn downtown. Maybe we can find some info over there."
-
"An inn, really? What the hell is this, some kind of RPG?" She said.
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 4/6/2017 5:35:18 PM"No. But there's less people which makes it easier for us to eavesdrop! It's not like we are Gunna be talking to the bartender after we spend X amount of gold for a bed and drink!"
-
"We'd better not, cause I'm as broke as hell. But lead on Alex."
-
The two made their way through the crowds until they finally arrived at the two story inn. They entered to find it bustling. However the interior was surprising. Inside were lights which illuminated the inn. It had dark brown smoothed tables and bar stools, and it was incredibly modern inside it's un-modern building. "Oh. If your dad ever finds out about how I took you on a mission, this is the one thing you can leave out. Pretty sure taking twelve year olds to bars could be seen as a bad thing." Alex smirked.
-
She scoffed and walked up to the bar, and sat down. "Funny, at least my hair is kept in shape. Your split ends are showing princess."
