"Already done ma'm." Hendrickson said. "As soon as these things started happening we pulled out. We didn't want to be the cause of civilian deaths."
"Smart move Hendrickson." Alex complimented. "C'mon Sera. Let's head into the town and investigate."

"After you Alex, let's get this done yeah?"
-
The two exited the tent and made the trek towards town. The town was quaint. It had wooden roadways into wooden buildings. There were at least three dozen homes, each similar in design with a typical log cabin look. There was a two story building, the inn of course. The town itself was filled with people. The two made their way past a bustling market square as they looked around the bright and bustling town. "Wow. One might think that these people have no idea they've been breached by child soldiers..." alex said sarcastically to Sera.

-
"Good thinking. We should stay on our guard." Alex complemented. "We should check on the Inn downtown. Maybe we can find some info over there."
-
"An inn, really? What the hell is this, some kind of RPG?" She said.
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 4/6/2017 5:35:18 PM"No. But there's less people which makes it easier for us to eavesdrop! It's not like we are Gunna be talking to the bartender after we spend X amount of gold for a bed and drink!"
-
"We'd better not, cause I'm as broke as hell. But lead on Alex."
-
The two made their way through the crowds until they finally arrived at the two story inn. They entered to find it bustling. However the interior was surprising. Inside were lights which illuminated the inn. It had dark brown smoothed tables and bar stools, and it was incredibly modern inside it's un-modern building. "Oh. If your dad ever finds out about how I took you on a mission, this is the one thing you can leave out. Pretty sure taking twelve year olds to bars could be seen as a bad thing." Alex smirked.
-
She scoffed and walked up to the bar, and sat down. "Funny, at least my hair is kept in shape. Your split ends are showing princess."
-
Alex leaned up against the bar beside her. "Ha! Funny." He looked to the bartender. "One scotch and a glass of apple juice for the lady please." He asked the bartender for the sole purpose of getting back at Sera.
-
"I think what he meant to say was he'll have a water and il have a Pepsi. His boyfriend gave me strict orders to bring him home sober, can't have him screwing the farm animals again you know?" She said with a grin to the bartender.

Edited by Inflatablepants: 4/6/2017 10:39:36 PM"Good god make up your minds." The bartender said impatiently. Clearly he wasn't enjoying their game. He left them both to go take care of other customers. "Huh. Didn't see that one coming." Alex said as he looked to Sera. "So, Sera. I was thinking-" "Alex?!" Asked a feminine voice from behind alex. It was all too familiar as the white haired man turned to the source. "Anne?!" Alex let out. Anne was standing behind both of the two spies. She was wearing a dark black hoodie and black jeans with dark black sneakers. That being said, she still had twilights hope in its sheath on her hip. "What are you doing here?!" They both asked each other at the same time as alex approached her. "Wait, hold on." Anne said as she grabbed his hand. "We need to head to my room. That includes you as well, Sera." Anne almost spoke like a disgruntled caretaker as she said Sera's name.
-
"Geez, calm down Anne. No need to talk to me like your my mom....." She sighed as she got up, and walked next to Anne with her arms crossed.
-
Anne grabbed both of them by their sleeves as she led them through the crowd into one of the side doors. She looked around shiftily before she opened the wooden door. "C'mon. Get in." She said as she released the two and waved them in. "Sure thing princess." Alex said suspiciously as he entered the room.
-
"Damn, don't act so suspicious Anne. You're only gonna draw more attention to us." Sera said as she entered the room.
-
Wow. What a biatch
Anne closed the door as she entered. She turned on the lights to reveal the quaint hotel room. There was a single bed, a bathroom and a TV. Alex turned to Anne with a raised eyebrow. "Babe. What's going on? Why are you here?" He asked her when he walked closer. "Same reason you are here...I would imagine." Anne said. "I've been keeping tabs on the nightingales since the docks."
-
Shes a 15 year old teenager dude
"How come you didn't reach out to Alex, get some backup?"
-
fair point
"Well..." Anne trailed as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Anne, C'mon. Why didn't you contact me?" "It's just...well the last time we ran into the Nightingale clan it really messed you up and I didn't want you to experience that again and you've been so busy lately that I didn't want to bother you and because I didn't want to bother you I came here by myself so I could figure out if the clan was her myself but then you showed up anyways!" Anne took a breath. Alex let out a sigh as he walked closer to her. "Anne...c'mon." He said to her. "You know I'm here for you. No matter what." "Ya...I...I should have realized that. I'm sorry..." "You don't got anything to be sorry for. You did what you thought was right, like you always do." He spoke to her with a grin.
-
Sera let out a cough and crossed her arms, interrupting the couple. "If you to could not have a romantic moment in front of me, that would be preferred...."
-
"...definitely Zane's kid." Anne said as she backed up from Alex. Alex stood in the middle of the room, so he could look at both girls. "So? What have you figure out?" Alex asked Anne. "To keep it brief? That the clan is really good at hiding." Anne put. "They've been able to take your soldiers out and not even reveal that there was a murderer to begin with. It started at this Inn, when one of them was shot in the head." Anne poked her skull, imitating a bullet. "No one knew who did it. So a brawl broke out. Any trace of a murderer was covered by other people's blood, spit and...well you get the idea."
-
"Hm....Someone had to have saw something. What about security cameras, this place have any?"
-
"No. Because private dealers pay for the cameras to be turned off. This town may look nice, but it's a centre of crime." Anne stated. "Great. So we don't have any leads." Alex said with annoyance. "Ya. And I've tried to ask around here as subtly as possible, but the fact is you can't go around asking 'excuse me, do you know where I can find a child assassin?' without probably getting a few eyebrows raised or being shanked."
-
"Then why not ask about the brawl that broke out? Use that information to gain information about the assassination."
-
"I did. But everyone was too drunk or aggravated to remember anything." Anne answered Sera.
-
"I find the fact that nobody knows anything hard to believe.....The clan might be threatening the people or bribing them to keep their mouths shut."
