"Geez, calm down Anne. No need to talk to me like your my mom....."
She sighed as she got up, and walked next to Anne with her arms crossed.

Anne grabbed both of them by their sleeves as she led them through the crowd into one of the side doors. She looked around shiftily before she opened the wooden door. "C'mon. Get in." She said as she released the two and waved them in. "Sure thing princess." Alex said suspiciously as he entered the room.
-
"Damn, don't act so suspicious Anne. You're only gonna draw more attention to us." Sera said as she entered the room.
-
Wow. What a biatch
Anne closed the door as she entered. She turned on the lights to reveal the quaint hotel room. There was a single bed, a bathroom and a TV. Alex turned to Anne with a raised eyebrow. "Babe. What's going on? Why are you here?" He asked her when he walked closer. "Same reason you are here...I would imagine." Anne said. "I've been keeping tabs on the nightingales since the docks."
Shes a 15 year old teenager dude
"How come you didn't reach out to Alex, get some backup?"
-
fair point
"Well..." Anne trailed as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Anne, C'mon. Why didn't you contact me?" "It's just...well the last time we ran into the Nightingale clan it really messed you up and I didn't want you to experience that again and you've been so busy lately that I didn't want to bother you and because I didn't want to bother you I came here by myself so I could figure out if the clan was her myself but then you showed up anyways!" Anne took a breath. Alex let out a sigh as he walked closer to her. "Anne...c'mon." He said to her. "You know I'm here for you. No matter what." "Ya...I...I should have realized that. I'm sorry..." "You don't got anything to be sorry for. You did what you thought was right, like you always do." He spoke to her with a grin.
-
Sera let out a cough and crossed her arms, interrupting the couple. "If you to could not have a romantic moment in front of me, that would be preferred...."
-
"...definitely Zane's kid." Anne said as she backed up from Alex. Alex stood in the middle of the room, so he could look at both girls. "So? What have you figure out?" Alex asked Anne. "To keep it brief? That the clan is really good at hiding." Anne put. "They've been able to take your soldiers out and not even reveal that there was a murderer to begin with. It started at this Inn, when one of them was shot in the head." Anne poked her skull, imitating a bullet. "No one knew who did it. So a brawl broke out. Any trace of a murderer was covered by other people's blood, spit and...well you get the idea."
-
"Hm....Someone had to have saw something. What about security cameras, this place have any?"
-
"No. Because private dealers pay for the cameras to be turned off. This town may look nice, but it's a centre of crime." Anne stated. "Great. So we don't have any leads." Alex said with annoyance. "Ya. And I've tried to ask around here as subtly as possible, but the fact is you can't go around asking 'excuse me, do you know where I can find a child assassin?' without probably getting a few eyebrows raised or being shanked."
-
"Then why not ask about the brawl that broke out? Use that information to gain information about the assassination."
-
"I did. But everyone was too drunk or aggravated to remember anything." Anne answered Sera.
-
"I find the fact that nobody knows anything hard to believe.....The clan might be threatening the people or bribing them to keep their mouths shut."
-
"Good thinking Sera." Alex complimented again. "I was thinking the same thing." "Sure you were." Anne teased. The two began to bicker pettily about how he did know or if he didn't know, but Sera noticed something. She heard everyone in the Inn when she came into the room. But now...she didn't hear anything outside...
-
"Wait a minute....You guys hear that noise?"
-
The two stopped talking for a second and listened. "...What noise?" Anne asked Sera with confusion. It was dead silent.
-
"Exactly, the bar was busy as hell right? So some noise should be coming through the walls. But as you can hear.....not a peep, like everyone outside just disappeared."
-
Alex put the pieces together quickly and took out the tranquilizer pistol from his coat pocket. Anne walked quickly into the room after she looked to Alex and put the pieces together herself. She grabbed what looked to be a black stick from the corner of the room, then she opened a drawer beside the bed and took out what looked to be darts. "Babe, what is that?" Alex asked. "Blowgun." She answered nonchalantly. "A what now?!" "Ya! A blow gun? And the darts are laced with Rohypnol."
-
Sera hopped up in the bed and drew her bow, notching an arrow and ready to release it. "The next person that opens that door is gonna be in a world of hurt....."
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 4/7/2017 12:25:56 AM"No kidding." Alex said as he took cover behind the bed and took aim. Anne hid around the corner of the hallway which led from the door into the room. The group had established an effective choke point... But...nothing had happened.
-
Sera was silent, and kept her arrow locked on the door, waiting for it to open.
-
The door began to shake slightly. The knob looked like it was being fiddled with.
-
Her focus was unwavering, and eyes were locked on the door. She adjusted her air so the arrow would land in the shoulder area when it fired.
-
The door then suddenly swung open, and an arrow was shot as soon as a figure bursted forwards into the room.
-
Sera rolled forward which caused the arrow to miss her and Imbed in the wall, and when she came out of the roll she fired her own arrow which landed in the figures shoulder.
-
The figure was sent back into the corner of the hallway. Then, another arrow wizzed by Sera's ahead. As she got a good look she saw at least six dark cloaked figures positioned outside. But the doorway limited her point of view. "Sera! Get out of the hallway!!!" Anne yelled.
